We had a great time at the cosy cabin! We only stayed for one night before we went on to Petra, but Jerome and Billy did everything to make us feel welcome.
Billy and Jerome made me feel very welcome. Always willing to help, share stories and even some food. The neighborhood is very quiet and relatively close to the city center. The space is very unique - kind of gives you the feel of living on a boat house. It's even nicer than in the pictures and very functional.
Very well designed, the cabin has everything you need. Right by all the action in Eilat. Jerome is the man and Billy helped me book a tour of Petra. They're great. Was also greeted with a welcoming drink and bowl of soup! Definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
Billy and Jerome are very welcoming and friendly, had a great time with them and their friends too.. They even invited me to a dinner they were hosting one evening :) Lovely cabin, very cozy and homely.
Соглошусь с большинством отзывов:) Оочень маленькая комната, но очень уютная, чистая и есть все необходимое. Не более 2-х человек! Если бы мне понравилось в Эйлате, я бы тут еще раз остановилась.
Billy and Jerome were very nice and hospitable, the cabin is indeed cozy and very cute. We had a great time, Thanks!
My husband and I only stayed here briefly for one night, but it was so cute! Was exactly as described in the post. Shower was very... unique, but worked perfectly! Very interesting owners that were helpful with whatever we asked of them. Would definitely stay here again!
thank you very much for your sweet review. we enjoyed having you and hope to see you again, love, billy
Do not stay here as the disagreement among the host family members who share the same property, will make your life miserable no matter how hard you try to be amenable. My stay was an ezeh bassa, or big disappointment, to find that the hosts have let this once charming place go down the tube.
I’m an airbnb host since 2010, a respected published author, scholar, photographer, and journalist from the US & Mexico on a mission in the Mideast, so I have seen a lot, but I was shocked to be treated in such a dysfunctional and shameful manner by these educated folks.
One-week after I arrived for a one-month stay, Billy arrived from Hawaii and welcomed me by saying she does not rent long-term and that it was Reef, her son, who went ahead and accepted me for so long.
Shortly before, her husband Jerome accused me of breaking the TV after showing him just after arrival that the remote was not working correctly; so he told me then to not shut the TV off, to just turn the volume down in the meanwhile. Two weeks later while he was running his very loud electrical carpentry motor, the electricity blew on the entire property and since then the TV never would turn back on. Then he kept telling me that I broke it because I left it on all the time!
To make matters worse, not once during my 3-week-stay were the sheets or towels washed or changed, nor did they respond to my request for cleaning equipment; however, they did want to charge US$8 per load to use their washing machine.
The only remarkable person here is Reef, their 25-year-old son; who despite his heavy work schedule cheerfully picked me up from the airport and helpfully move me out ahead of time which I did as a favor to Billy, since she said she wanted to have some family over and offered to give me back a proportional amount of money to rent another space for the last week. I gladly obliged, but she was away when I left so I could not collect the rental difference.
When I returned for the promised refund, much to my surprise Jerome informed me that instead, I owed him some US$135 dollars to replace the old TV that never worked right.
On another occasion Jerome screamed at me for allegedly smoking in his cabin, which was totally off the wall; from the beginning there was a written agreement with Reef that the designated smoking area was just outside the cabin door where an ashtray was provided and which I totally respected. It was also agreed upon that I could bring my e-cig equipment with me from the US to use inside.
To all guests: make an educated decision whether you would stay here by reading my other reviews.
Finally to Reef: So sorry to see you so upset by your parent’s constant squabble; and hoping life improves for you!
We had a wonderful time at the cozy cabin! Jerome and Reef were perfect hosts and even helped us find a dentist when we hada dental emergency. I would not hesitate recommending this place to others. The cabon itself was as described. COZY. The shower was a bit strange as there is no door or curtain but doable. Good location also.
