Had an excellent stay I'm Calebs apartment. Perfect organisation and very cooperative with check in times etc considering we didn't arrive in Barcelona until 1am. Gracia is a nice area of Barcelona, close enough to the centre to be walkable but far enough away to feel like you are in Spain not to be surrounded by tourists. Lots of amazing little restaurants and shops very close by.
Apartment was clean and tidy and perfect for one or two people to stay. The only slight thing worth mentioning is that the street can sometimes be slightly noisy as the flat is on the first floor but this is to be expected when staying in any city!
All in all I would highly recommend.
Even though Caleb wasn't around to greet us as he was away on business he was very contactable and any questions we had he got back to us right away via phone or email. The apartment is very basic but clean which is a must for me. The area Gracia is lovely and has everything you need including lots of bars and restaurants. My only complaint was there were too many roaches in the kitchen for my liking. I have a massive phobia of them but I was told that most places in Barcelona have them.
This apartment is wonderful. Caleb was out of town when I was due to check-in, but he made sure I had the details of his two lovely friends who greeted me, showed me the apartment and handed over the keys. There was a stack of maps and guides on the table with Caleb's personal recommendations.
It's a great apartment if you intend on branching out across Barcelona. Being within walking distance of two train lines made it super easy to get around, but you can also walk to many of the Gaudis from here. I unexpectedly stumbled on Casa Vicens on my first night while looking at places to eat, and was kind of floored that there was just happened to be a Gaudi in the 'hood.
The apartment itself is perfect as a solo traveller, but would definitely be great for a couple too. There's lots of light during the day, and lots of room for the contents of my suitcase to spill everywhere... I hadn't been able to use a washing machine for ten days and may have been overly excited about having one again.
I didn't use the kitchen much, mostly because there were too many amazing bars and restaurants and gelaterias in the area. On my last night in Barcelona I roamed through the neighbourhood slightly tipsy and found people spontaneously swing dancing in a square. It's that kind of place. There are lots of little streets to get lost in; this is mostly a good thing, except when I had to consult my map just to find my way back to the apartment.
I am probably geographically challenged.
Despite getting lost several times, I absolutely loved staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone who (for a short while at least) wants to capture some semblance of what it might be like to live -- really live -- in Barcelona.
The location is just perfect. Lots of bars, cafes and authentic places with huge and cheap lunches around. The apartment is minimalistic, but has mostly all the basics one might need. Caleb is a friendly and very helpful host. He's willing to recommend all kinds of places around and help with anything you might need.
Great stay at Caleb's place. The fiesta of gracia was great and Caleb is a really nice host,. Thank you!
Good flat, good location. Caleb was very communicative and helpful.
We stayed in Caleb's place for 3 nights.
Gracia is such a great location, an easy train ride to the city, or a 20-30 min walk to the city for those who enjoy it.
Caleb responded to any of our questions and even met us when we took a wrong turn on the way to his place.
perfect apartment to enjoy all that Barcelona has to offer!
We stayed at Caleb's flat for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. He was waiting for us at the flat when we got there and was very helpful with directions and sightseeing in Barcelona. The flat is close to the metro and a small supermarket is round the corner. We were 2 adults and 2 small kids and it worked out fine in his small studio. All in all a lovely experience in Barcelona.
Caleb was super nice and helpful before, during and even after our stay in his flat. Gracia is a beautiful, strange and safe neighborhood, it's close to 2 metro station (Fontana and Joanic) and in the nearness there are several shops, supermarkets etc... The flat is nice, very welll furnished, no air conditioning but there's a huge fan that does its job pretty well. The only problem we had was with bugs/roaches but I guess that a big city like Barcelona+the heat of the summer was to blame, since the apartment was clean enough. Apart from that I totally recommend this place!
very nice and respectful and excepted without complaints that we were having a big storm with big waves on the island durring his stay.
Caleb was a great guest! Very clean and communicative.
