Huge apartment, clean, great for 6 people. Good location.
This apartment was perfect. We were 6 people traveling together and couldn't believe how spacious and lovely the apartment was. I feel like we really got the "New York" experience and I would recommend it to anyone! Thanks Scott :)
Awesome and very spacious place in a great area! Scott was very helpful and very responsive to my questions. He was also flexible with check-in and check-out. The place itself is so amazing, my friends and I were very comfortable and walked to SoHo and Chinatown with no problems. The hosts left us some options to visit in the neighborhood and tips which was very sweet, we didn't get to try them as we already had an itinerary but would like to next time we visit. We decided to brunch in the apartment for 7 ladies and had plenty of room in their kitchen and dining room for us and the food. Everything was perfect, except we didn't anticipate no microwave but we were just trying to be lazy heating up some food. I would definitely rent this AirBnB again and recommend it to my friends.
The apartment was bigger than we expected. A great space for a family - we were a family of five (could have fitted more). It was clean, had a good kitchen and the laundry was a bonus. And a great book collection - I read "The Year of Magical Thinking" while there. It was a great neighbourhood and Scott was a gracious and accommodating host.
Scott's space is very nice. Clean, spacious. Everything went pretty smoothly. He was nice... Only problem was the Apple TV didn't work and I had to buy my own Hulu subscription, no extra rolls of toilet paper, and I wasn't too happy with the way he gave me the check out time. He was a bit rude. Overall, the stay with fine.
The listing was way more than I could imagine! The bed room is as in the picture but the place itself is absolutely beautiful. I was only there for a night but everything was taken care of and I had no trouble settling in. The one thing I can say needed improvement was the very slow internet connection but hey that isn't Scott's fault. He was a great host with a great place!
Thanks, Samir. Time Warner was here last week and replaced the router -- all is working much better.
The apartment is pleasant and spacious as indicated by the host.
The plumbing could do with some bringing up to date and the heating was just not up to the freezing weather. We could have used some more space to hang/put away clothes in the bedrooms and the lighting arrangements in the bedrooms were a bit minimalist.
Please see the above a constructive criticism aimed at making a pleasant apartment a little better.
Scott was really nice. The flat is huge with 3 big bedrooms and 2 living rooms. It is perfect for 6 people.
It is really well placed in Manhattan (the subway is 2 minutes far by feet). Don't hesitate to come in Scott's !
The experience in this apartment was very positive. Very good location, very close to a metro stop. The entrance to the building perhaps worst, a little dirty and regular odor, but when you enter the apartment everything changes. This is a very broad (spectacular lounge area, kitchen and dining room) apartment and generally clean (in our case one of the bedrooms was not quite clean, but not over). As for the rooms, 3 are correct, they are not luxurious but are quite nice. There is air conditioning in the lounge area / dining / kitchen and two bedrooms. They all work fine, no air conditioning being necessary in the third room with the door open. The bathrooms are perhaps the weakest point of the apartment. While the main bathroom is normal, the other toilet is in not very good condition but can be used without problem. Overall, this is a very nice apartment that has made our stay very good in NY.
Michael (Scott's roommate) was a very nice guest. He left the place super clean. Would be more than happy to host him again.
Great. Michael was the best guest ever.
Scott left my places spotless as if no one was here, and easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend as a guest!
Scott's friends were great guests! They left the place spotless. I'd have them back anytime.
Scott is an exceptional host! I am an avid AirBnB user based out of Denver, and I can tell you from experience that Scott's setup is a great addition to the AirBnB community. Both Scott and his roommate Michael are artists and entrepreneurs, and their space is incredible. I have stayed with these fantastic friends on numerous occasions during my frequent trips to NYC, and their guest room is always my first choice. The apartment is spacious, beautifully designed, and located only one block away from the subway in the Lower East Side. The access is fantastic with some of the best restaurants, shops, and sites that Chinatown, the LES, and Little Italy have to offer. Their particular little corner of the neighborhood is dubbed "The Snake Pit," and historically it was home to some famous Chinese opium dens. The neighborhood has evolved, but all the charm and intrigue is still there. Highly recommended!
