Everything was great in Inge's place. Inge was very helpfull and helped us in many things. We highly recomend her place.
Petri & Anna
We stayed for 1 week in this sweet little garden house.
Angelina was very kind and helped us with any questions. The house was basic but it was nice and the pool was great and refreshing. You definedly need a car. The location is oke, there is a big supermarket just around the corner and a little busstop just 5 minutes walk.
Angelina was an excellent host and we enjoyed our stay at her nice and safe place!
She really took care of everything necessary including sheets and towels. It was very clean and we had everything we needed for our two week stay. Overall Angelina was very helpful with lots of information about rental cars, dive companies, the best beaches and other things to do and see on the island.
So we would definitely recommend her for any future renters!
Also there is a big supermarket within 1 km of the apartment which was quite good.
Inge was a terrific host and her apartment was quite satisfactory. While it is right across the small courtyard from her house, it seems much more private due to the position of the doorway and windows and all the beautiful tropical trees and other plants. The fridge and stove are actually a mini-fridge and a two-burner hot plate. However, at this price it did NOT matter! Take the money you save and spend it on the fantastic food and delicious cocktails the island has to offer. But it was perfectly serviceable for making breakfast each morning and kept our few groceries and drinks nice and cold.
I was a bit concerned about the heat but the ceiling fan there does wonders (and I grew up where almost every room has a ceiling fan so trust me when I say this one is a particularly good one.) We wound up only running the A/C a couple of nights out of the week.
Inge has two dogs, but they are incredibly friendly and almost never bark for any reason other than a car showing up.
The internet was functional but could probably use a repeater nearer to the apartment as the signal does get a bit weak. But Inge went out of her way to make sure we were online and even bought a new router while we were there to try to fix it. I think the thicker external walls are just dampening it a bit too much, though.
Speaking of going out of her way, she even bought and installed a safe in the room, which was a big relief. I never worried about breakins or theft while in her property that was surrounded by a high wall and topped with pointy bits. But it was nice knowing that our passports and few expensive items were that much safer when we were going out.
One last note: this apartment is very dive-friendly. She has a nice little area behind the apartment to hang up gear and clothes, yet it's mostly shaded so you don't get the sunlight damaging it as long as you pull it off the line before noon or so. And she was kind enough to provide a very large plastic storage bin that worked great as a rinse tank.
The next time we visit Curacao, we may stay at Westpunt now that we've gotten some city knowledge under our belt. But I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Inge's if we were staying in Willemstad again.
We spent 11 nights in Angelina's house and we really enjoyed it. At the begining we were going to stay only 4 nights but we decided to make it longer! The appartement is cosy, clean and usefull (refregirator, dishes, tv and dvds, internet, books,...are there). The place is beautiful with palms in the garden and a view on the swimming pool. It's close to the center.
Angelina was very nice with us and help us a lot about what to do and how to do things in Curacao. We recommend it for sure!
