Marocaine vivant en France, j'ai envie de faire découvrir ma culture d'origine
Rabia's Riad Saada is fantastic. It is very central and has fantastic facilities and staff. Don't hesitate - book it. You will not regret.
Our reception in Fez was lovely. Hicham had already organised parking for the car for the time we arrived and was there to meet us with a luggage taxi (part of the service and absolutely necessary is you are staying inside the Medina). The house was beautifully decorated in the Moroccan style and we were served breakfast every morning by a lovely Moroccan lady. Another lady cooked dinner for us one evening in the house, an optional extra provided to the guests.
Hicham also organised a guide for us at our request and gave us a recommendation for a wonderful place to eat (The Ruined Garden Restaurant, a must if you are in the area). Overall a most positive experience and to be recommended highly.
Merci pour ce beau séjour. La maison est très agréable et nous avons beaucoup apprecié la cuisine de Fatima et Fatiha et les conseils de notre hôte Hisham.
The house ("dar") was located in a quieter part of the medina, it was very clean and well kept and the staff (Hicham and a few ladies) was very polite, easy to reach and helpful. Hicham spoke good English and met us on our arrival to lead us to the house. Breakfast was abundant and on time. Also everyone was punctual, which was good for our planning. We did not have to haggle for any "hidden" payments.
Rabia provided all the necessary information to get to the Riad and a responsive contact to help us get settled in. The riad was nice, though do note that the stairs are a little steep (sleep in one of the two ground floor bedrooms if you're not good at climbing stairs). The view from the cozy rooftop makes for a beautiful sunrise.
Rabia's assistant met us on the street and took us through the winding streets to get to the house - we would've gotten lost otherwise! It was very helpful.
The assistant was very nice and accommodating, but some things were lost in translation, so do be very clear in your communications.
We had a wonderful three days staying in this beautiful riad. It is even better than the photos with traditional Moroccan features including a private hammam which was very special. Hicham was a fantastic host, he organised a guided tour of the medina for us, a lovely home-cooked meal in the riad one evening, a private massage and he even walked us to our taxi at 5:30am the day we had to leave. Would definitely reccommend this as a place to stay and enjoy Fes from.
Thank you to Rabia for letting us stay at the house it was better than described and looks better than in the pictures. Very central in the medina and would definitely stay again. Hicham our host was very helpful and met us at the train station and showed us around the medina. Will definitely stay again when in Fez and would also recommend the tour
My husband and I had a lovely stay in this beautiful, traditional riad in the old medina of Fes. Hicham was very helpful in meeting us, getting us to parking, and arranging an official tour guide for us. We had a nice Moroccan breakfast each morning prepared by Fatima. The place was comfortable, with a great view from the terrace.
The riad was a well maintained jewel dating back more than a hundred years. The staff was the smiliest and most hospitable I have encountered in guesthouses. The manager Hicham made sure to make us feel confortable and we were so confortable with him that we decided to let him take us around old Fes. My mother, sister and the kids greatly appreciated it.
It felt like visiting family in Fes!
Will definitely make sure to use this wonderful gem next time around.
on the practical side, the riad is big, quiet, very clean and central to the old medina. Oh and the food they cooked us, divine!
Rabia, her husband, and children were wonderful guests! It was a pleasure being their host! Absolutely delightful experience!
