I loved staying at Robert's farm. I felt welcome and the cabin was exactly how it was described on the listing. I loved waking up with the sound of woodpeckers around and the rustic cabin fit my needs well.
Robert was a great host! Extremely welcoming and helpful. He went the extra mile to make sure my boyfriend and I were comfortable. The Dome is exactly as described...it's built well, has a nice comfortable bed with plenty of blankets... and no electricity. Which worked out totally fine for us! The house and it's bathroom/kitchen are a short hop away, and you can come and go as you please.
We were tried to line up schedules to make it to Roberts farm but ran out of time! The nicest part was that he made us blueberry pancakes Sunday morning :)
It was a great place to stay. Robert provided plenty of information about the area which made a big difference for us. I would definitely recommend the barn and would go again. I liked snugging under the blankets. It was all the best of camping without the hardships.
Robert was a gracious and wonderful host. We shot the majority of a low-budget short film at his sprawling organic produce farm. My cast and crew all stayed on-location at the main house, geo dome, and beam barn.
Since there was no heat, it was very cold there at night and sometimes during the day, but Robert offered the main house for nighttime and gave us plenty of blankets. He even gave some of our crew a ride back to the train station.
He was very accommodating and kind.
Robert was a great host! We arrived while he was out, but he'd left a note with all the pertinent information. The dome was exactly as described, and we loved it! Spacious but also cozy, and there was a bench right outside, as well as an outdoor table and fire-pit closer to the main house.
It was a bit chilly at night (expected, the only problem was that I'd forgotten a hat to wear while sleeping), but the bed was very comfortable and Robert had provided very warm blankets. The skylight was beautiful (sleeping under the stars is always nice), and the lantern and flashlight Robert gave us for the nighttime came in handy.
In the morning he made us blueberry pancakes and coffee (delicious!), and gave us some great advice for where to get lunch that day.
We only stayed one night, but would gladly return for a longer stay in the future.
Robert was a wonderful and very generous host. He recommended places to hike that he enjoys, told us about a local flea market, and made us delicious blueberry pancakes for breakfast! The dome was a really cool space and just as beautiful as the photos. It was very comfortable and a unique place to stay. We really enjoyed staying in the dome and would love to come back to visit again!
Robert was an absolutely amazing host who went above and beyond for us; the Dome was amazing, even better than in the photos, and his cooking was sublime! Can't recommend highly enough
Robert was a warm and gracious host, going out of his way to be sure we were comfortable and warm. Staying in the Dome was a unique experience, to say the least! Would definitely come back again.
Robert was an extremely accommodating and gracious host! We had a wonderful time staying in the dome. Be forewarned that there is no heat and no electricity in the dome, so bring headlamps and lanterns! Robert offered us lots of blankets to keep warm, but we brought our winter sleeping bags and were quite cozy. The main house (where guests can go to use the kitchen, bathroom, and living room) is tidy and inviting. We would go back in a second! Thanks!
Robert is a very gregarious and upbeat person who enjoys being social with those around him. He was very thoughtful during his stay with me and even brought me some chocolates as a gift. He noticed and appreciated my attention to detail, and as an experienced host himself he offered me some great advice for my place. If you host Robert, be sure to leave some time to talk and get to know him. You'll have some enjoyable conversation for sure. Would host again!
Robert and his friend were good guests. They only stayed a night but they were very quiet.
Robert was a great guest. He was enthusiastic about the location and took full advantage of walking to his destinations, undaunted by the rain. He seemed to have a very full schedule and we had little time to chat, but in that little time we learned of his shared interest in permaculture. Of course he demonstrated his concern for the environment by walking everywhere, which we so applaud. You couldn't find a better guest!
Rob and his friend Collin were delightful guests. They were interesting, friendly and we had a great time hosting them.
Robert was Amazing!! He brought me organic fingerling potatoes from his organic farm in Connecticut. Oh did I mention that he was a great guest as well. Seriously, I very much enjoyed meeting Rob, he was very communicative as a guest. He also took great care of my place, leaving it better than he found it. Thanks Rob!!
Robert was exceptinally friendly and outgoing. He and I had snacks that he purchased and talked about his own listing. He left the apartment in great condition.
Great guy. I enjoyed meeting Robert. He was friendly, courteous, and tidy. A very respectful guest. Robert is welcome back, any time.
Good guest, very personable and great conversations. Would have again!
My experience with Rob is the reason we all use Airbnb. The chance to meet and share your home with a great person from the other side of the country. Friendly, intelligent and a great guest.
I will reciprocate the Airbnb experience at his place if I ever venture up that way. Keep in touch Rob.
Robert was a great guest to have and deserves every single star! He's a very interesting person to have around and he keeps his space and the apartment clean at all time. Thank you Robert, you're always welcome back!
I met Rob last November when I booked a night in his beautiful home in Bethlehem. He invited me to stay for the duration of my stint in Connecticut and demonstrated unparalleled hospitality during my visit. We instantly became friends and continue to keep in touch. Rob is an intellectually stimulating, highly personable guy who is truly dedicated to providing a unique travel experience to his guests. If you're in the area, definitely stay with Rob.
