Christine's studio was adorable and she was a very gracious host--very responsive and helpful. She even left a list of suggestions for things to do in the area during the stay. Five stars all the way.
My husband and I stayed at Christine's apartment for a couple of nights at the end of a road trip and we were delighted that we had found such a lovely home in a fantastic location.
Firstly I'd like to comment on Christine who was fantastic in the run up to and throughout our stay. Communication was excellent about check in and she gave us lots of helpful info about the local area.
The area itself is great, the road itself is quiet but so close to Chestnut where you'll find restaurants, boutiques, bars, cinemas etc. There are also a couple of local buses that run take you around the city. It's a great location for getting down to the water which is perfect for runners. There is a view of the Palace of Fine Arts from the window and you can see the Golden Gate Bridge... fog allowing!
All in all very happy to give a huge thumbs up to this place and to Christine and hopefully we'll come back again in the future.
Christine's place was neat, clean, comfortable, quiet and excellently located. And we went nuts watching Breaking Bad episodes on her NetFlix service. She was easily reachable by phone or email to answer questions or respond to requests. Her friendly, warm demeanor came through quite clearly. My wife and I would not hesitate to stay there again.
We had such a wonderful time staying at Christine's apartment in the Marina! Hardly just a 'studio,' her open and bright abode was simply perfect for our relaxing weekend getaway. Some studios consist of a single room, and feel small and cramped. But we were very impressed at the overall layout and feel of the place--the lighting, the unique 1920s style architectural details, and the super comfy bed! The views are nothing short of spectacular, especially from the rooftop. I think you'd be hard-pressed to find better vistas of the Golden Gate Bridge. The location was great too! We had fun exploring Chestnut St., only two blocks away, and definitely got a little bit tipsy one night at a hip restaurant, The Tipsy Pig. Christine was very accommodating, and the check-in process was easier than a hotel's! We would definitely return.
I highly recommend staying here!
We had a fantastic stay in Christine's studio. Everything we needed was provided, and the location is superb. It was easy to get around by MUNI and the apartment was a welcome respite to come back to after a long day of sightseeing. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer! I wanted to get a look at the rooftop deck...
Lovely apartment with a beautiful view! The place was really cozy and charming.. And the wifi worked extremely well. Christine was a wonderful host, very easy to communicate with. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.
Christine's place is the ideal weekend getaway. The place looks just like the pictures--gorgeous, clean, and homely. Christine really goes the extra mile, providing clipper cards, Netflix, and detailed instructions on everything. She was very communicative throughout the entire process and simply provided the best Airbnb experience we have ever had.
Christine's flat was a wonderful quiet respite from the city! It's clean and indeed fosters a zen like calm. We awoke to views of the fog rolling over the Presidio and through the Golden Gate Bridge. It was an easy check in and check out process and Christine was very hospitable! We look forward to more visits to her studio!
We had an amazing time in San Francisco and Christine's apartment made it just perfect. She was a lovely host and a pleasure to communicate with. The apartment itself was just as tidy and beautiful as the pictures show, the view from the rooftop was stunning and the location was great. There is a close bus stop and a lot of restaurants, bars and boutiques just around the corner. It was a wonderful experience and we were lucky having Christine as our first Airbnb host.
Christine could not possibly have been any more helpful. I believe I asked her one question about restaurants in the area, and I received about three or four responses over the next couple days, with new thoughts she had on different places to eat, and different places to see!
This was the first time we had stayed at a place that is usually lived in by someone else (typically, through Airbnb, we have stayed at places that are used for rentals only), but it did not feel like we were "living in someone else's house." In fact, Christine even cleared out the closet and drawers for our use!
The location, literally, is the best there is in San Francisco. Immensely safe neighborhood, walking distance to the Palace of Fine Arts and great restaurants, easy access to downtown and the Golden Gate Bridge. Truly, you cannot find a better place than this!
Christine was very friendly, kind and neat and I wouldn't hesitate in having her stay again anytime.
