Place is cute and charming. Very nice host.
perfect location and very nice hosts. recommended. thank you so much mauriza and roberto!
It was a cozy experience at this b&b. Maurizia was very responsive throughout my correspondence with her, giving us tips on getting to the apartment etc. Her husband warmly received us from San Basilio's jetty when we arrived and they also left some snacks in the fridge for us. Highly recommend it for its convenience (about 15min to San Marco) as well as the quiet, lovely neighbourhood of Dorsoduro. The apartment was a comfortable stay for our group of 5 people.
Wonderful apartment in a local's corner of Venice - just where you want to be to get away from the tourists and have some quiet morning while you walk to the sites. Maurizia and Michael were perfect hosts - getting to the apartment by boats from the train station was easy and Michael was in-touch the whole time. And do take Michael's advice: Restaurant Toni is a gem - my best meal in over two weeks in Italy - get whatever's on special or anything with squid ink, or anything really, I spoke with some other visitor who had eaten there for three straight nights and never had a bad dish.
Only downside w/ the apartment is small, uncomfortable beds. This is understandable, because good furniture, in general, is impossible to get in the Venice commune, so you're shipping it from the mainland at a huge premium. If you're a sensitive sleeper, these will be difficult nights.
Maurizia and Gaetano were excellent hosts and live right next door which is very convenient if you have any questions during your stay. Meeting us at the vaparetto stop and showing us the supermarket, restaurants and cafes for wifi was helpful. The apartment is very clean and is in a peaceful part of Venice whilst being within a twenty minute walk from the academia bridge. I would recommend this air BnB apartment for anyone visiting Venice.
Gorgeous place !
Maurizia and her husband were very helpful and welcoming - he was even kind enough to come meet us at the bus depot because we were running late and insisted on carrying one of our suitcases for the entire walk to the apartment.
The apartment was clean, spacious and well equipped. Maurizia and her husband live right next door and so are close by if any help is needed. The neighbourhood is a safe and quiet residential area just out of reach of the crowded tourist areas. The apartment is an easy and pleasant 15 minute walk to St Mark's Square.
Thank you both for a very nice stay, we very much enjoyed our time in Venice.
We had a great time at this fab little apartment and we were made to feel very welcome. Maurizia's husband came to meet us at the Vapporetto stop and popped in a couple of times to see if we needed anything. The apartment is in a pretty corner of the city with some nice eateries nearby and its close enough to some of the main sights to walk instead of getting the Vapporetto.
We stayed here for 3 nights and had a truly fantastic time. Maurizia's husband met us at the vaperetto stop, it was raining and he'd kindly brought us umbrellas to walk back to the apartment. He talked to us about Venice on the walk and even introduced us to the owner of a fish restaurant he recommended we visit which I thought was lovely. The apartment itself was really clean and kitted out with everything we needed. There was a selection of breakfast treats and Italian coffee waiting for us, which was re-stocked daily. The apartment is located in a quiet, absolutely stunningly beautiful area of Venice, but within walking distance of the main tourist areas. Just wish we had booked to stay for longer! Thank you Maurizia & your husband for being so lovely and welcoming :-)
