We stayed at Sean and Sinead's charming cottage for 3 nights in May 2013 and had a wonderful time! Their cottage is in a great neighborhood and it's a quick walk to great bars and restaurants. My personal favorite was Paulie's Pizza which was some of the best pizza I've ever had!! The cottage was clean and cozy with all the comforts of home. Sean and Sinead were pleasant and helpful and made themselves readily available by phone/email during our stay. Sean was kind enough to promptly send back some jewelry I had left behind. If I'm lucky enough to return to Dublin, I would definitely stay in Sean&Sinead's cottage!
We had a wonderful time at the cottage! It is a great neighborhood, lots of pubs and fish and chips shops within walking distance, easy to get to the city centre or to the motorway if you're planning on exploring the rest of Ireland. Clean, spacious, attractively decorated and in a very quiet development. It is a bit hard to find unless you get really detailed directions, so make sure and ask! In the end, the fact that it's hard to find means you're in a really peaceful, quiet area, though!
We stayed here as I was working nearby. The cottage is absolutely lovely. Very clean and very homely. The cottage is in some old barracks so even though you're very centrally located you feel like you're hidden in a secret garden. Sinead and Sean were so accommodating with check in and check out, when I managed to get flight times wrong and then asked for a late check out! Lovely people. Couldn't recommend this place more.
Sinead & Sean were great hosts highly communicative and helpful. The cottage was also extremely cute, clean and in a very safe, leafy, upmarket area.
Well, from the first seconds in the cottage it feels like home, because it's really cozy, homy and clean. It's a really quiet and lovely spot with a small garden in front and back of the house and doves flying above the building. When we walked down Haddington Road, we could see all the blossoming almond trees, even palms and everything was green and so nice. It's just 15 minutes away from the city and the neigbourhood is surrounded by many many victorian buildings - a little peace and quiet, which is a nice contrast to the busy Dublin city. I guess for all the sweet memories I have on the trip, an important point was that nice cottage. Big thanks to Sinéad and Sean, we really appreciate it.
Really ideal. The house is even nicer than the picture suggests as it is set within some beautiful old buildings in a very peaceful courtyard area. Inside it is lovely. It's not cluttered so you don't feel your're intruding on someone else's territory too much and yet it feels homely and cosy.
Sinead and Sean were great. They greeted us and gave us all the info we needed and were brief and chilled out about it.
I would definitely go back if I was there again.
Sinead and Sean were away but had someone meet us at the cottage and communicated with us in the lead up to our stay. Location is excellent and it won't cost you more than 10 euros into town by taxi or about a 20 min walk. Airport coach was very easy to and from the airport and again is very close to the cottage. The cottage is well equipped, neatly kept and bed is very comfortable. Sinead and Sean left a list of places to go while in Dublin as well as local restaurants which was very handy.
