Very convenient! Highly recommend if you're looking for a place close to the school or hospital. Gwen was very courteous and provided all amenities, making our trip very easy. It's also very close to the bus line so you can commute from downtown easily.
Gwen is very nice and hospitable and her familiarity with UC helps me a lot! The room she offers is remarkably neat and spacious. I wish I could have time to read those fascinating fictions in her bookshelf. This is an awesome stay! I strongly recommend!
Gwen was extremely sweet and very clean. The apartment is quiet and really nice. I slept on a comfortable, full-sized bed in the corner of the front room (she stayed in her bedroom) and she gave me access to everything I would have needed, including her coffee pot and fridge which was super sweet. I am more of a quiet and reserved person most of the time but she was always kind and asked how I was and if everything was going well. No pets, very clean, smelled great, and it was easy to access (she gave me a key for my stay, which was a new and great experience for me on this app). I highly recommend this place if you're looking for an affordable place to stay for a few nights!
Awesome host! So nice!
Gwen was very welcoming and accommodating! We stayed in her living room (on a real bed) and she slept in her office (the "bedroom") on an air mattress. We had a few lovely conversations with her about grad school, but we barely crossed paths with her during our stay.
Our reason for visiting Cincinnati was to visit my brother who lives just off Ludlow, so this was a great place for us to crash within walking distance of his house and the shops and cafés of Clifton-Ludlow. We enjoyed watching Netflix at night in Gwen's apartment after "visiting hours" at my brother's house (aka bedtime for my young niece), we enjoyed the cafés and shops up on Ludlow, and we also walked to the NW corner of the UC campus.
Apparently, however, some neighborhoods and streets are safer than others for walking. I was assured by my brother that this apartment location was in a relatively safe neighborhood, but if I went for a run I should go in this direction, not that direction. (I had a lovely four mile run up to Mount Storm Park and back via Howell, Clifton, Lafayette, and Ludlow.)
I would be happy to stay here again on our next family visit. The accommodations are simple but very clean, friendly, and well-located for our purposes!
