We had such a lovely time whilst staying in this gili meno bungalow! It was very clean and well built. The bed was really comfy (so was the pillow!). Jackie looked after us splendidly - we would definitely stay there again :-)
Loved this little piece of paradise! Perfect location, secluded and quiet, yet a 5 minute walk to town and beaches and food. Breakfast was excellent and the bungalow/accommodations were fantastic. Would definitely recommend staying here rather than a hotel.
This was really nice experience staying in this bungalow mainly to Jacki. Meno is really quite place, but that is what you choose if want to just to relax, snorkeling to read a book and walk around the beach. I spent 2 nights and 3 days, of course you can find everything what is for the tourists, but I like this place because Jacki made it really like a home for you. It was really nice having some chats with him, he took care even of my cold :) and thanks for the rain jacket it was really helpful!
It was little bit hard to locate the bungalow, but we managed to do that in 10 mins as the island is pretty small. Everything was like advertised. Only minus was a super large lizard in the bathroom :)
We were 3 people staying 2 nights in Amigos Bungalow in September. The bungalow was just as pictured, quite small for 3 people but we didn't mind, as we weren't there to sit around inside! There was a nice outdoor seating area where we were able to relax in the evenings and a hammock!
The bungalow is right in the centre of the island, so you're not on the beach, but it's still only a short walk ~5mins or so to the beach in either direction. The mosque did wake us up each morning early, but in a way it was quite nice, so detached from city life. You could then lie in bed listening to the goats and chickens that roam the island.
The banana pancakes in the morning were fantastic.
Overall I'd say it was a good base to explore the entire island from, and being in the centre we didn't feel constrained to spending our time on either side. The east side of the island is much more crowded, and it was nice to be away from that, as isolation was why we came to Meno!
The bungalow was wonderful! It was peaceful, a nice walk to the beach and Jacki was helpful and very welcoming. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks to Andi and Jacki!
Excellent. Quiet and private. Jackie is a most lovely person to hang out with. He helped my son with remedies for his coral bite, served a perfectly cooked breakfast, fed us with fresh coconuts and the best pawpaw I've ever had all from his gardens. Gili meno is a beautiful place full of beautiful locals.
it was a good stay in the nice hut at amigos. jacky was a very friendly guy. the neighbourhood itself was quiet. thanks for the nice days.
I really enjoyed a very relaxed stay at Amigos-it's location is really handy for going in all directions it being in centre of island and in the village, you also get a feel of village life.the wee hut is located in a wonderful coconut grove and there are goats and chickens wandering about which I loved. It was a pleasure meeting Jacky who took care of breakfast and was in hand for help and information too. There is wifi which is a plus! The mosque is very close and quite loud so be prepared for early morning awakenings...sad to leave such a wonderful island .
