Consiglio senza nessuna riserva.
It was wonderful time spent in this apartment. Andrea is a very helpful and open host. He has my best recommendation for future!
My partner and I loved our stay in Andrea's small but immaculate apartment. It is in easy walking distance of all the major sights and the port, and is really the perfect base for exploring Genoa. Andrea is a lovely, attentive and thoughtful host--he was always quick to respond, and helped us to organize our check-in. The neighborhood is colorful (as others have mentioned, there are prostitutes on the street outside the building). We felt very safe, and I would definitely stay there again, but the immediate neighborhood might not be for everyone.
Thanks for everything, Andrea!
Andrea is very considerate host.He wanted to be sure that we will be happy in his place. Apartment was very clean,it is in very good (email hidden)iborhood surprises at first, but in reality just adds to experience.I and my husband enjoy staying there.
After having spent a month in the apartment, I couldn't imagine a better place to stay in the city. Check-in was arranged perfectly, and all further conversations were promptly answered. The Apartment itself was more than adequate, with a fully stocked kitchen with great induction cooktops, spacious bathroom with bidet and a washing machine, and a very large living area. The apartment was exceptionally clean upon arrival.
The location was also perfect being just steps from Via Garibaldi, with simple access to multiple modes of public transport. Within three minutes walking is a bus stop with connections to take you anywhere in the city.
I am very happy to have passed my time in Genova in this apartment, and would recommend it to anyone.
Location is perfect for museum walks (garibaldi is near) and apartments itself are gorgeous (it looks like completely renovated, very clean)! We even have rope to dry clothes outside apartment, like locals do! (Off course fully function washing machine and indoor place to dry clothes were available :)))
Andrea ready to help and can provide local information which s very helpful ( we looked for boat in Cinque Terre)
We had a great time in Genoa thanks to Andrea's flat! Superb location, great host and easy from start to finish. Thank you Andrea! Ciao ciao!
The apartment is beautiful, simple and well appointed, perfect if you want to explore Genova and the region.
The living space has high ceilings and is filled with natural light. The bed is comfortable, the pillows less so. The space has a TV and air conditioner. The kitchen has almost everything you'll need - no cooking knife but otherwise well stocked. The bathroom also includes a clothes washer. As another reviewer pointed out, the hot water heater is very small so shower accordingly.
I was traveling alone, female in my 40's. Andrea couldn't meet me at my checkin time but he sent a colleague who couldn't have been more friendly and explained the apartment in detail. Andrea was attentive during my stay, responding to emails/texts immediately.
The apartment is incredibly well located - you can easily walk EVERYWHERE - from one end of Genova to the other. While it was easiest to take a taxi to the apartment on arrival, it is close enough to the main train station to walk.
As another reviewer wrote, the prostitutes are a little off putting at first - but they are everywhere in the old city so it isn't just this alleyway - it's a port city and I understand it's legal. I did not feel threatened or scared, I traveled back and forth from the apartment all day and night and didn't think twice about it. At least one seemed to live in the same building, but here again, it did not take away from the apartment.
The apartment is incredibly quiet at night - during the day you here the goings on of city life.
I loved my time in Genova, it's an interesting city, beautiful and still mysterious. My time was made better for having a safe and attractive place to stay. Andrea couldn't have been more lovely in his interactions. I looked at a lot of apartments for my stay and I feel like I couldn't have been more pleased!
Thanks to Andrea and Airbnb!!
I was very pleased with my stay at Andrea's place. Andrea was the consummate host, even meeting me late at night upon my arrival to guide me to the apartment. A wonderful airbnb find!
We had a wonderful experience at via Garibaldi! Not only was the place immaculately clean, but Andrea was extremely responsive and so helpful, even going as far as to leave us some treats for our arrival. He has really decked the flat out with all the needed equipment, the Nespresso machine is CLUTCH! Pictures very accurately depict the flat, modern looking furniture, very comfy large bed, and a nice sized bathroom too!
Although Genova isn't exactly a tourist destination, with little to do in the city itself, it served as an excellent and affordable way for us to have great comfort and explore the riviera (cinque Terre one day and Portofino, and Santa margarita the next; both are a very short regional train for about 6€ a person, don't waste your EuroRail days) and the train station is an easy walk... The place was so clean, by far the most on our month trip thus far, and there is some good food in a square down the street (exhultate I believe is the name).
THE ONLY things that may be of concern to some are this-
1) the hot water is short lived, don't make the mistake my girlfriend did and slowly start shampooing leisurely, it will last about 3 minutes, lol.
2) There are prostitues all over this 3 block radius standing in doorways, but ONLY during the day. Now that being said, they are not drug addict, derelict prostitutes, and they don't walk around in lingerie - and for the most part were friendly and relatively quiet. It is just a little shocking when you first arrive, but after that, it is almost irrelevant, especially considering you won't be hanging out infront of your doorstep. Just something to be aware of if you are easily uncomforted by these things (after Amsterdam my girl and I had some pretty thick skin :))
Thanks a bunch Andrea!
my new experience with Airbnb is really positive, this time I had the pleasure of hosting in my home Andrea, I would say everything is perfect ... can not be better!!!
