Steve was a champ - very easy going and accommodating. There's a great community, with plenty of interesting people coming and going and things happening. The neighbourhood is really cool - check out Valencia street and grab a burrito from Taqueria Cancun.
This is a friendly place, and the neighbourhood is quite fantastic.
Great house with lot of interesting people living!
You have to pronounce "Vibrant" with all caps on: VIBRANT. There's always something going on! If you have been to Mission part of San Francisco - this place fits it in a very organic way, it is very similar to the whole surrounding area. If you like Mission - you'll like 20 Mission co-living community. I enjoyed my stay.
It was a wonderful experience to have stayed at 20Mission. As someone new to SF, the startup community are laid-back, friendly, creative, and very importantly, respectful. The house of full of energy and always a lot of cooking, a lot of food in the kitchen, and always clean, everyone follows the house rules. The Halloween party was awesome!
I had an amazing stay. This place is legendary!
I had a great stay. This place is legendary !
There are hotels, hostels, typical AirBnB rentals, and then there is another level of stay in a great city like SF: 20Mission... a truly unique community of creatives and entrepreneurs that really make you feel welcome and part of the group the moment you walk in. Sure, the place is a bit rough around the edges, has community bathrooms / showers / kitchen, etc., but the experience is one that made me wish I could stay there much longer than the few days I planned. The manager / host of the place, Steve, was very accommodating, easy to get along with, gave me a tour of the place, introducing me to the other people staying there, and set me up with a private room facing the shared courtyard. Although I was in SF for a conference with limited time to spend in the 20Mission, I kept looking forward to coming back at night and hanging out with the other people staying there - a great mix of passionate, creative, talented, yet chill folks from all over the world who are here to build their next big thing in the most innovative, creative, tech city in the world.
The location is in the heart of the Mission district, with easy access to buses and four blocks in either direction from the BART metro stations. My conference was at the Moscone center, which is a ~45 minute walk or a 20 minute bus ride. If you are going at night, you may feel a bit more comfortable on the bus, as you pass through some potentially sketchy blocks, but you are right on Mission the whole way, so I never felt unsafe.
In my short time there, I made friends with quite a few of the other residents, many of which also came in initially for maybe a week but have made it their home for months... Some friends I made very quickly, without even trying: a graphic designer from Tokyo (who also happened to be a great chef - awesome!), a group of three tech entrepreneurs from Chile, a girl from England, a tech entrepreneur from NYC, a tech entrepreneur local to the Bay Area who chose to live here, etc... what a great mix and how cool it was to hang out in the community room or in the courtyard getting to know everyone and talking about all sorts of topics. If you are coming on your own or as a young couple and enjoy good vibes getting to know others like you, yet from different geographies, while still having a private room of your own, look no further. 20Mission rocks!
I had a great stay at 20 Mission. Steve the host was very helpful, friendly and welcoming when booking and arriving and throughout my stay he was on hand with any questions I might have. He also gave me tips and advice on the area and navigating my way around which I found very helpful.
The room I stayed in was a good size for either a single or couple travellers. It was clean and tidy with a comfy bed. The washing and cooking facilities are shared with the other residence (as stated in the advertised description) and were kept clean the whole time during my stay and there was never a time when these facilities weren't available give the number of residence, which was great.
The location of the accommodation was very central for getting about either on foot and the local BART train or bus system.
I would definitely recommended staying at 20 Mission and wouldn't hesitate in staying again :)
Great host, great location, great people. Would stay again.
Ryan was my guest for a weekend and I have to say; what a great guest he is. Very amable, great attitude, very clean and organize. Im definetly looking forward to have him as my guest again anytime and I give my 100% satisfaction guest rate. Thank you Ryan;)
20mission was great to work with. Thank you very much! :)
Ryan and Suzanne were pleasant guests who stayed for 4 or 5 days.....They left the rooms as they found them and in every way were a pleasure to have in my home..I hope to see them again one day and have more time to spend with them and learn of their interesting lives.
Ryan and Suzanne were, simply, the kind of people that you never want to leave. I have rarely connected with people so quickly and deeply, the kind of folks that inspire you to work a little harder to make the world a better place. They are a blessing!
Great and recommended guest!
Great guests! We enjoyed having them stay with us.
