This was AWESOME. We had really great times in 20Mission ! The place is great, and the community is really welcoming. It was an amazing experience to live here for some time, and we will definitively keep in touch with some of the people me met there. A really nice mix (email hidden) and a friendly community. I strongly recommend it if you want something more than (email hidden) to sleep.
20 Mission is a nice location in the Mission neighborhood of SF, with a lot of restaurants and night life nearby. The community there is very active and friendly and ideal for meeting new and interesting people.
The building is constantly being renovated and they do their best to respond to requests and be considerate. Though this can cause a certain amount of noise/distraction depending on when you're around.
It is definitely not a "hotel experience" but you get your own space and everyone there is very pleasant. I was there for 6 months and would do it again.
This is a great community to stay for short or long term. Everyone is so welcoming and they made me feel right at home. Great location, close to transit and downtown, it was perfect for my 3 month stay while I was doing an internship.
20Mission was an awesome place to live. The location is great. The bus stop is a few steps away, BART is 4 blocks away, there are lots of good restaurants in walking distance, and Delores Park is not far. The common room has a big TV for movies, video games, and jazzercizing with Caroline. The building is constantly being improved. While I was there they finished 4 new bathrooms and started renovating the kitchen. The internet connection is insanely fast, and they ran ethernet to all the rooms.
If you are new to San Francisco, 20Mission (email hidden) to meet new people. It's not for everyone, but if your looking to add a little bit of craziness to your trip 20Mission is the place to be.
Staying at 20mission has been absolutely wonderful, festive and relaxing for me. Most of the people living and working in this place is very social, funny, helpfull and friendly. I spend 5 weeks there and I actually extended my stay with one week because I liked it so much. The furnished rooms are nice and big, the beds are comfy, the kitchen works etc. But the most important thing about the place is the unique atmosphere and the amazing people living there. I will definetely recommend staying at 20mission!
First the good stuff: my room was fairly clean & the management (Jeff and Caroline) is extremely nice. Unfortunately, that's about all of the positives.
The hallways of 20Mission are falling apart; the wood floors look like they are eroding, there are nails on the floor and holes in the walls. The bathrooms seem to be rarely cleaned and the kitchen has a decent number of flies at any given time of day. The rent that is being charged for a room at 20Mission is far too high for the low quality of the venue. I loved SF, but staying at 20Mission definitely put a damper on the experience.
All of you are wonderful, amazing, excellent people and I cant wait to see everyone again.
Y'all are perfect <3
had a blast in 20mission. Everybody was so friendly and interesting. Highly recommended!
It was a great experience. Really interesting people and I enjoyed learning about 20mission's approach to a shared live/ work space. It was a truly unique insight into San Francisco.
My 2 month stay at 20 Mission was a perfect introduction to San Francisco. I knew apartment hunting in this city is no easy task so I set up here as home-base while I learned the city. The other residents were all very friendly. Some of the longer term residents do a great job planning things at the house, whether its a hopping party that you can invite your other friends to, or a lazy barbeque on a Sunday afternoon. Jeff and Caroline who run the place are great people and always around. I tend to lock myself out of my room, so that was helpful!
The bedrooms are nice and clean, though the hallways and common areas are generally pretty messy so just know what you're getting yourself into.
The location is good, but its the Mission so just don't expect clean streets and the safest of atmospheres. It is close to public transit and tons of restaurants/bars/shops. Also if you really want to explore the city from here, check out the app Scoot, a moped rental service (think Zipcar) that has a garage where you can rent just a block away.
Overall my stay reminded me of Freshman year in the dorms at college. Uncomfortable at times, but the people you meet and unique environment make the experience completely worthwhile.
Ryan was my guest for a weekend and I have to say; what a great guest he is. Very amable, great attitude, very clean and organize. Im definetly looking forward to have him as my guest again anytime and I give my 100% satisfaction guest rate. Thank you Ryan;)
20mission was great to work with. Thank you very much! :)
Ryan and Suzanne were pleasant guests who stayed for 4 or 5 days.....They left the rooms as they found them and in every way were a pleasure to have in my home..I hope to see them again one day and have more time to spend with them and learn of their interesting lives.
Ryan and Suzanne were, simply, the kind of people that you never want to leave. I have rarely connected with people so quickly and deeply, the kind of folks that inspire you to work a little harder to make the (email hidden)ey are a blessing!
Great and recommended guest!
Great guests! We enjoyed having them stay with us.
