I studied studio arts in college and have worked as a designer, chef, and a carpenter. I love to cook Italian, Mexican, and Thai but sometimes the best meals are the simplest: a seared steak or piece of fish with salt and pepper, boiled red potatoes, lightly steamed vegetables, beans and rice. The one thing that is always in my freezer: homemade chicken stock. I enjoy walking around cities and finding great spots to eat. Travel is another one of my passions. My wife and I decided to quit our jobs back in 2001 to live in Barcelona and teach English in Thailand for a year before we got married. We now live in San Francisco, a fantastic city for walking and eating with great beer and wine. My current favorite city I don't live in: Prague. Next new city I need to visit: Budapest!
