In short the perfect rest place for our Mardi Gras vacation. Ryan and Grace were exceptionally responsive and helpful in answering all our questions and we felt exceptionally lucky to have found their place at such short notice to the mardi gras festivities.
The house is fantastic and full of character and comes with the added bonus of 2 lovely cats. The locale to Magazine street with its great selection of restaurants and bars was a real bonus as well.
House is about 3 miles from the french quarter. 50 minutes walk but only 15 minutes bike ride on one of the many bikes provided.
All in all, a perfect place to stay in new orleans and we hope to make it back some day.
The house was great and we really enjoyed the neighborhood with its proximity to places to explore and go out on Magazine and St Charles. We also really enjoyed the bikes as a way of getting around, especially when getting around can be difficult during Mardi Gras.
We had a brief but very pleasant stay with Grace and Ryan. They have a beautiful and very comfy home as well and 3 lovely and friendly pets. The location was perfect and the backyard was such a nice plus! Would definitely stay again, thank you!!
Grace and Ryan have a charming home and were very accommodating even though we stayed for just one night. Their bicycles really helped us see the best of New Orleans in the short time we were there.
Grace and Ryan made our stay quiet nice. The room was cozy and the bathroom clean. The location was in a quiet part of town with easy access to restaurants, funky resale shops and just a bike ride away from the French Quarters. I'd recommend this place to any friend.
Ryan and Grace were great hosts, made us feel at home, offered us plenty of advice on what to do in town and were kind in every way possible. The house was very nice, great looking kitchen, living room, bathroom. Bed and pillows ware really comfy. Bikes were a definite plus, especially to visit the neighborhood, which has amazing houses and of course, magazine street. We also used them to get to the French quarter (sometimes its impossible to find parking space in there and you want to avoid the traffic and people). Thanks a lot Ryan and Grace for an all across excellent experience.
We arrived earlier than expected on Thursday and Grace was able to let us in and welcome us to our home for the next four days. We loved the home, the animals, and the hospitality shown by our hosts. Our bedroom was quiet, private, and spacious, we had a private bathroom, and we were even provided a small heater which helped on a chilly night. The Irish Channel neighborhood is very cool, a unique New Orleans neighborhood with cool houses and we loved being so close to the Garden District and Magazine St. as well, full of great restaurants and shops in both directions. I personally was glad to not be so close to the ruckus of the French Quarter, and we relied on the bikes and public buses and streetcar to get around, and were impressed with the reliability of the public transit. I think we most appreciated the thorough list of recommendations for bars, restaurants, music and experiences provided by the hosts which allowed us to pick and choose our adventure and ensure that we ate like kings along the way. New Orleans is a fascinating city and I appreciated learning more about it from our hosts, who seem genuinely invested in their guests thoroughly enjoying their stay. I'd recommend any of my friends to stay with them on future trips to New Orleans, and would gladly return myself as I cannot wait to get back to that fine city.
The house is perfectly located in the Irish channel, with easy parking on the street. The pets were friendly and the room comfortable. Perfect place for a quick short visit to NOLA.
We stayed with Ryan and Grace for one night and they were very welcoming. Their house is so nice and clean. We felt extra safe due to the security system. Their cats and dog are so sweet! They gave us some great recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the city. When we returned from dinner, we had a great time just talking and playing a card game. We would definitely stay with them again!
This was a gem of a find! Our hosts were awesome, even offering to share their stew, and the place is gorgeous! If you are an animal lover this is the place for you, as their cats and dog will welcome you right in. It is amazingly close to some of the newer restaurants and bars and only a trolley ride away from the historical areas. Loved this stay!
Ryan and Grace were great communicators, and even though we didn't get to meet, they were very nice and left me a sweet note to read when I got back. They were very clean and left no issues whatsoever. Would host again, obviously--top notch
Grace was the perfect guest. She is also a host on Airbnb. Grace stayed 3 nights here on Capitol Hill. Don't hesitate to give Grace a room.
Ryan and Grace were a pleasure to host. They were independent and comfortable with starting out their stay without me greeting them and upon my return they were friendly and interesting in conversation. I would be honored to host them again and highly recommend them as guests to any airbnb host.
Lovely to meet Ryan & Grace during their quick visit. Very friendly and respectful. Thanks for staying!
Ryan and Grace are the kindest, most thoughtful, most interesting, and most fun people we have had the pleasure of spending time with since our move two New Orleans over a year ago. We all met in law school in Boston and after relocating to New Orleans Ryan and Mike worked as pedicab drivers together. We consider them to be our closest friends and cannot recommend them highly enough to the AirBnB community. They would be ideal hosts and their apartment is perfect for anyone looking to experience the best parts of New Orleans.
