I have lived in Seattle for 23 years, and am happily married for 10 years. I am a foodie who loves healing herbs and just about any kind of food.
I have a degree in biochemistry (minor in language), have conducted Cancer and brain research (separately), trained in acupuncture, Chinese medicine, Ayurveda and Vedic Astrology.
The best part of travel is meeting the people of each place and sampling local dishes or immersing myself in the culture, where ever that may be. I enjoy hiking (used to rock climb), gardening, fantastic food, helping people, qi gong and balancing rocks.
Life is good and travel just highlights that even more for me.
I was almost born in Taipei, Taiwan and lived there for the first 3 years of my life.
Some of my favorite places I have traveled are Nepal & Crete, the Ellora and Ajanta caves of India and have not been back to Tibet & Mt. Kailas for 20 years now.
Bhutan has been on my list to visit for a very long time, maybe I will get there in the next decade.
I have spent more time in Asia than in Europe, but have lived/studied on an archeological dig for a Summer in Wales; which was fantastic.
Stones and mountains fascinate me, so to be in Wales, the land where the Blue Stones of Stone henge originated was great.
I have family in the Bahamas, so I grew up snorkeling and scuba diving in those pristine waters in my younger years.
Life in Seattle is wonderful - we have a fun garden, and I hope to 'get my saffron crop' rolling in the next few years.
I speak street language (enough to get by traveling) in French, Chinese and Spanish. And need to brush up on my Sanskrit more to read Hindi better.
