Hello my name is Stewart Mackenzie a hacker, teacher, green tea drinker and 100% biodegradable.
Stewart was so great with me. I arrived much later than I thought, and I took a cab to his place and he actually met me by the street and even carried my extremely heavy bag all the way up to his place. Very very nice of him!
Stewart and his girlfriend have been great hosts. They were always helpful and supportive. The room had a good size and the kitchen was well equipped. I would recommend their place if you need to live close to the university/Sai Kung area since it is a 5min minibus + a 40min tube drive into the city centre. I was given much freedom and space to myself and always enjoyed a chat with Stewart, his girlfriend or Joe, the other flatmate. It has been a very nice experience and I would recommend this place to everyone else!
Very happy to have met Stewart, Such a wonderful host, Feel like home. A nice village location away from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong and Steward is very helpful. Highly recommended for people how like nature :-).
Stewart is an excellent person with a golden heart. I would to thank to him for his hospitality and bestowed helps. Definitely, starting in HK would be much more difficult for me without him. I'm very lucky to find him. Now, I have a friend and neighbor in HK.
Great place to stay for a few short days. Thanks Stewart
I have very bad experience with Stewart as he kept strict cancellation policy which i was not aware and he has not mentioned about his strict cancellation policy on this wall before we make a reservation . I would urge everyone to make sure to review cancellation policy of this host before you make reservation to this house . Please be remind you cancellation policy is not mentioned on the wall of this host you need to first confirm with Airbnb
The host canceled my reservation 13 days before arrival.
Nice place, bit of tricky spot to find, but once there it is a good location away from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong and Steward is very helpful.
Stewart literrary saved us from being homeless. Despite our booking for 3 days we still needed one night more - the day before the booking started. He agreed to welcome us on his (website hidden) is very expensive so the accomodation in Tai Po Village in relation of the rent price and city communication is really balanced. I stongly reccomend this place. We really could get a rest after a day in extremly busy HK (one could even hear cicades in the evening) in green souranding. It takes approx 45 min to town but it's quick and convenient. Before your depart from the airport or train station to Tai Po makes sure you have your Octopus Card charged. It's extremly convenient: you pay for every type of transport with it, you can even pay in seven eleven, pret-a-manger and other drop in stores and you don't need to have any change to travel the minimbuus which takes you to Stewart place. If you have any diet limitations or simply care for good food you will need to think about it in advance. Seven eleven doesn't provide you with appropriate food and the closer foodstore is in Hang Hau - the closest MTR station (10 min bus ride away). If I were to visit HK again, I would definitively stay at Stewart's. The green areas of HK are even more exciting than the big huzle city.
