I'm from Nepal, the kingdom of HImalayas. 26, social worker and an outgoing person :)
My stay with Swastika was fabulous, and I highly recommend staying with her. Swasitka is an excellent hostess. She knows everything about Kathmandu and was very helpful with suggestions, recommendations, directions, transportation and communication - (loaned me cell phone.) It was fun talking with her as she is passionate about her work, her politics, her family and Nepal. Her English is impeccable. While I was there, her grandparents, her brother and her charming and delightful aunt were there also - a gracious and generous family. During my seven night stay, I ate most of my dinners with the family as well as all breakfasts - the home made food was delicious. The accommodations were comfortable. The warmth and friendliness of Swastika and her family were a highlight of my week in the city.
I realised we stayed at Swastika's twice and I only left a single review. Please see my other review for all the details as this stay was just as wonderful as the previous one. Swastika and her family are amazing hosts and I'm already missing chatting with them and the amazing food they make!
This was by far and away our best air bnb experience yet. Swastika picked us up from the airport and from that moment on made us feel exceptionally welcome. She helped organise transport to Nagarkot, and Pokhara for us and invited us to share a traditional meal with her family. We often ended up spending time with her just chatting. Her family were very welcoming and my daughter kept asking to spend more time with 'aunty Sticka'. The room was nice and very private as well as being quite centrally located. If you want a host who goes above and beyond then this is the place to be!
