My boyfriend and I contacted Adrienne only a day before we arrived in New Orleans. She was extremely responsive and accommodating on such short notice! She greeted us warmly when we arrived and gave us a good orientation of the house and surrounding area. Adrienne and Bill's home is beautiful, filled with lots of unique art. Staying in their library was extremely comfortable, and we especially enjoyed sitting out on the balcony. Lovely neighborhood, short walk to the tram. Wish we could have stayed for more than one night. Thank you, Adrienne and Bill!
Adrienne and her husband were really lovely! Their home was so beautiful and they were extremely welcoming. When I come back to New Orleans I will be staying with them again!
Our stay over St. Patrick's Day weekend at Adrienne's place was just amazing. She and Bill are fantastic hosts - always ready to chat but never pushy about it - the mansion is in a great location, and is full of a lifetime's collection of books, curios, knick knacks, and oddities.
We stayed in the haunted room. With such friendly people, though, it's hard to be creeped out by the dolls that probably come to life at 3am.
Adrienne is a great host, and the property is beautiful. The library slept wonderfully, and we recommend it highly! Great location - easy to get to everything New Orleans has to offer.
We had a wonderful stay and plan on returning! The couple was so welcoming, and the home is in a beautiful location.
A note to say that our stay at Parks-Bowman was very nice. We loved our cozy room. Nice location in the Garden District. Adrienne and Bill were interesting and warm people. We recommend this airbnb property to others.
We felt welcome from the get-go. Adrienne and her husband Bill were there to greet us and take us to the library as soon as we got in at night, and made themselves readily available for the entire rest of the trip. The location was perfect - a nice neighborhood in the garden district two blocks away from magazine street (a happening spot in the garden district that really does have some great places to shop and eat) and a couple from the streetcar to get to the French Quarter.
Adrienne is a very friendly host and her house is beautiful. The room looks exactly the same as in pictures. It is well located in a very safe and beautiful neighborhood. The french quarter is easy to access even if you don't have car.
Adrienne provide us useful information about what is going on Nola during your stay.
I do recommend her house.
I honestly can't imagine finding a better airbnb experience in New Orleans. Everything about the Parks-Bowman Mansion is, in my opinion, what any traveler would hope to stumble upon. From the friendly, welcoming hosts and their incredibly curated (and quirky) collection of art to the home's historical charm and its beautiful setting in the Garden District, you'll never want to leave. The Red Room (with private bathroom) is perfect for two. The double bed is very comfortable and the space quite large... the photos listed don't do it justice! It's a bit of a walk to the French Quarter, but with so much to look at on the way, we didn't mind the almost two mile walk (the streetcar is also very accessible). If I ever get back to NOLA, I will most definitely stay here again. Many thanks to Adrienne!
Adrienne was very welcoming and knowledgeable. The area is fantastic, walkable, and filled with charm.
Adrienne and Bill are fun, interesting and welcoming people. We used to live down the street and enjoyed visiting on their beautiful porch, passing out candy on Halloween and enjoyed many Mardi Gras parades together!
