Trish was very welcoming and her home is absolutely lovely! Quiet street near town. Breakfast included some delicious homemade stewed rhubarb & tamarillos to have with our muesli, delicious!
Trish is a very welcoming host .We were shown where to go for eateries in town which was a 10 minute walk . A lovely home and garden , clean and tidy . Our bed was warm and cosy we enjoyed a nice healthy breakfast before we went on our way with some fresh lemons given to us from her garden . Thank you Trish .
Trish's place was perfect for me to take a day off and relax. I was working on a farm for a week and a half and needed a quick break before moving on to my next farm. It was a very rainy day, so I didn't get to see as much of Gisborne as I wanted but Trish was very helpful and willing to help me out with whatever I needed. She also got up early in the morning and drove me to my bus, which helped tremendously because otherwise I would have had to walk there with all my luggage! Trish's place is friendly, cozy and overall a great place to stay.
We would like to thank Trish very much for her wonderful hospitality. We have enjoyed every single moment at her place. Trish is so welcoming and friendly and is very willing to help you. She gave us advice on activities in Gisborne and surroundings, provided a delicious breakfast and she has send the things back to my house I accidently left at her house before I even noticed it was missing. The house is lovely, with a pretty garden and terrace.
Trish is a great host. She made our stay pleasant and relaxing providing us a map of Gisborne and some suggestions on local attractions.
Her house is ideally located, spotlessly clean and with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast of home-made muesli, yoghurt and fruit was the perfect start to our day.
We would love to stay again if ever we return to Gisborne.
Lovely stay. Trish is adorable thanks heaps.
Trish was really nice and welcoming even though we arrived in the middle of the night!
We really liked our delicious breakfast in the morning and how Trish could help us with questions about the area and trips we could do. We couldn't have had a better experience and we would recommend her for any other traveller.
Thank you very much for that!
We arrived at sunset and it was already dark but Trish offered to pick us up from the bus station. The room is simple with windows and nice little deco but the bed is exceptionally comfortable! We had 2 nights of perfect sleep on this bed which felt like a piece of heaven.
The house is beautiful and very tidy. It is over 60 years old but it was well done up by Trish. Everything you find here is clean and well maintained.
You can read books at the living room and enjoy a little conversation with Trish in the evenings. We were really happy to have some chance to interact with Trish. She is such a lovely lady to talk to! We were touched by a small note she wrote us in the morning regarding breakfast and also the directions to the beach. Trish again offered to drive us to the bus station the morning we had to leave as she was free and we appreciated it given that she had to wake up really early.
Town is walkable from home and takes about 10-15min. Kaiti Hill is nearer and a good place to get a panoramic view of the whole Gisborne.
Overall a pretty nice place to get some good nights rest for all your traveling! We would highly recommend the place if you are gonna spend a few nights in Gisborne.
Trish wasn't around when we arrived but she made it very easy for us to get in, and feel welcomed and relaxed regardless. We had a lovely chat when we saw her later in the evening. This is a lovely place and very close to town - we walked to the cinema in the evening and back again. The perfect spot for an overnight stop in Gisborne. Her home is how she described it. The room is not large, but she is incredibly accommodating with space for suitcases etc. in another room. We'd highly recommend staying with Trish if you are passing through Gisborne.
We had a very good time staying in Trish's beautiful home. Everything was perfect, from the smooth communication to the fluffy bed. She even gave us a lift back to the bus stop early in the morning :)
Trish and her family were very nice guests. Such kind people. They left the apartment very clean and the communication was simple. I recommend Trish as a guest.
Trish was a completely responsible and caring guest, with friends, to host at my apartment in Copenhagen. Communication throughout was pleasant, warm and precise. Check in happened as agreed, and when Trish returned the apartment to me, it was clear the apartment and furniture had been well taken care of. I fully recommend Trish to other hosts, and an open invitation back to Copenhagen stands :-) A 5 star experience in all!
