Trish was really nice and welcoming even though we arrived in the middle of the night!
We really liked our delicious breakfast in the morning and how Trish could help us with questions about the area and trips we could do. We couldn't have had a better experience and we would recommend her for any other traveller.
Thank you very much for that!
We arrived at sunset and it was already dark but Trish offered to pick us up from the bus station. The room is simple with windows and nice little deco but the bed is exceptionally comfortable! We had 2 nights of perfect sleep on this bed which felt like a piece of heaven.
The house is beautiful and very tidy. It is over 60 years old but it was well done up by Trish. Everything you find here is clean and well maintained.
You can read books at the living room and enjoy a little conversation with Trish in the evenings. We were really happy to have some chance to interact with Trish. She is such a lovely lady to talk to! We were touched by a small note she wrote us in the morning regarding breakfast and also the directions to the beach. Trish again offered to drive us to the bus station the morning we had to leave as she was free and we appreciated it given that she had to wake up really early.
Town is walkable from home and takes about 10-15min. Kaiti Hill is nearer and a good place to get a panoramic view of the whole Gisborne.
Overall a pretty nice place to get some good nights rest for all your traveling! We would highly recommend the place if you are gonna spend a few nights in Gisborne.
Trish wasn't around when we arrived but she made it very easy for us to get in, and feel welcomed and relaxed regardless. We had a lovely chat when we saw her later in the evening. This is a lovely place and very close to town - we walked to the cinema in the evening and back again. The perfect spot for an overnight stop in Gisborne. Her home is how she described it. The room is not large, but she is incredibly accommodating with space for suitcases etc. in another room. We'd highly recommend staying with Trish if you are passing through Gisborne.
We had a very good time staying in Trish's beautiful home. Everything was perfect, from the smooth communication to the fluffy bed. She even gave us a lift back to the bus stop early in the morning :)
Clean house which is close to the city. Great host providing breakfast (unexpectedly), highly recommend for a stay in gisborne
I had a great stay at Trish place. The room is small but really cozy and with a lot of light due to two big windows. Everything was clean and its a quite street. Trish was a caring host who gave me lots of information about the area and New Zealand in general. A good time in a beautiful region with stunning landscape and great surf beaches. Thank you Trish!
We had a really lovely time at Trish' place, even through it was the weekend where PAM cyclone was arriving on Gisborne..! Thanks again for everything Trish =)
Trish was a great hostess! Altough We made a wrong book she took us on very friendly and warm hearted. Nice room and good breakfast:)
The reservation was canceled 2 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Trish and her family were very nice guests. Such kind people. They left the apartment very clean and the communication was simple. I recommend Trish as a guest.
Trish was a completely responsible and caring guest, with friends, to host at my apartment in Copenhagen. Communication throughout was pleasant, warm and precise. Check in happened as agreed, and when Trish returned the apartment to me, it was clear the apartment and furniture had been well taken care of. I fully recommend Trish to other hosts, and an open invitation back to Copenhagen stands :-) A 5 star experience in all!
