Hosting Preben was my worst experience since I'm an Airbnb member. Since the beginning communication was terrible. He booked for six weeks in super high season and by mistake I sent a price that didn't covered not even two weeks at low season. I explained this to him and said I wouldn't be able to afford that and offered average deal, recognizing my mistake and avoiding cancelation (have to say he was not really understanding, even the booking had been done months in advance, and the final price was a bargain). Once here, in the exact day he arrived (Saturday evening) he sent me a video showing the aircon was super noisy. I told him that aircon service was not available on Sundays so I would send somebody Monday. On Monday when got there, the aircon was on, with lights off and bedroom door closed. So taught he was asleep and left not to wake him up. But what was my surprise when on Monday late afternoon this guest called me very rudely, when I was at work (ps: I'm a lawyer, and work the entire day), screaming that I had to fix the aircon at that moment because he was not even at home or sleeping. I tryed to explain to him that a misunderstood took place and at 19:00 there is no service available, and we would come back the next day to fix the noise, what we did. But this phone call was one of the most unpleasants of my life! Ps: the aircon was working fine! Only really noisy. A few days latter he complained that the aircon of the upper neighbor was making noise. Thanks god the neighbor was nice and fixed it fast!
Also he wrote thing like "I want my linen changed now!", althought this service is not provided (everything previously explained on the add!). When i tryed to explain that, and that I could change as courtesy, but not at that moment, things became bitter again.
So I guess Preben was expecting to be in a hotel, with 24 hour service, and not at somebody else home! Some real person, with real life, a job, without a professional team behind.
In the and there was a bad taste to have such a bad vibe at my home! It seemed just impossible to communicate, and every little thing turned into a big deal. Finally his six weeks ended.
I'm a experienced host, with 5 apartments at Airbnb, and many many positive reviews. I really have to say I don't recommend him to other Airbnb members.
Everything was perfect. Preben was a very good guest and took good care of the apartment. I would definitely recommend him
