The Hayete house is in a great location. It was my second time there. Great high ceilings and kept clean. There is a washer and dryer which is quite nice.
The interior of this guesthouse was absolutely charming with lots of character. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the hosts were very helpful and responsive.
However, there was construction nearby and often times loud honking from traffic, so it was quite loud for the early mornings. Space heaters were used to heat rooms as well, which I think is common in Lebanon.
Overall, I would definitely visit again and stay at Hayete.
Cool place in a great neighborhood. Fresh breakfast every day was a very pleasant surprise, and there were many other cafes and restaurants that we enjoyed a short walk away. Didn't get a chance to meet our hosts, but they were very communicative and arranged a ride from the airport for us. We overlapped with some other friendly and helpful guests staying in other rooms for part of our trip, so do realize you might not have the whole place to your group.
A fantastic spot. Great location. Wonderful decor. Well served and wanting to come back quick. Highly recommended.
Simone's place is amazing. We stayed me and 8 other friends of mine. Everything was well-organized.
If ı had a chance ı would have stayed there much more than this.
The rooms, especially breakfast, hot-water, etc. are nice.
There is no need to search on internet to find a place in Beirut.
The answer is: HAYETE
Thanks Soner! Was great bumping into you guys the last day! I will change the password :)
Hayete certainly has a good deal of charm, uniqueness, and convenience, since it's located in a wonderful neighborhood. We enjoyed the aesthetics, breakfast, and "help-yourself" atmosphere. However, our experience would have been a lot better with several added details that are generally expected for a "B&B" in this price range. The heater was a tiny space heater that, in a cold January, was quite ineffective; the light bedding was insufficient (though we managed to find an extra blanket in the kitchen). One of the main lights wasn't working so the room was quite dark. The tiny bathroom's shower is in disrepair and with no basics like soap offered, we had to venture out in the rain to find some. With several handles on the dresser missing, the drawers weren't easy to open. Essentially, we had the feeling that the guesthouse, while a beautiful space, has been a bit neglected - particularly since these details are easily fixable. Again, a charming place, but it would be great to see it in its full glory.
Helena, a lot actually changed since then, now each room is equipped with oil-filled radiator heaters, the light bulbs are changed and soaps everywhere!!
Maybe you should come back to check it out ;)
Simone's guest house is truly a gem. Located pretty central in trendy Achrafieh it's very easy to get to anywhere in Beirut - downtown, Hamra, Mar Mikhael, Gemmayze, you name it. There are shops in the are, there's a 24/7 grocery store just 5min walk away (Hibou on Lebanon St). Theres a Lebanese/Mexican fusion restaurant downstairs and they're really lovely as well.
The best part of the house is the balcony - it is great to sit there in the evening and socialise with the other guests if you don't have any evening plans.
There's a morning maid lady who comes every day, makes & serves breakfast (on the amazing balcony) & cleans the apartment.
Both hosts were lovely & helpful. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this place as well as Beirut & Lebanon - I will go back one day, I'm sure, I loved it too much.
Lari and I enjoyed very much the wine and your lovely company on the balcony!
:-) Looking forward to welcome you again! C
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Our rooms were comfortable, we really enjoyed the breakfast on the balcony each morning, and the location was quite convenient for us.
We agree to that.

I have spent a great time in Beirut, especially because I was located in the lovely area of Achrafieh. The Hayete Guesthouse is the perfect match for who loves to travel independently and feel at home. Lovely rooms, very tasty breakfast and a super cool terrace. If I ever go to Beirut again definitely I will book again.
Great girl, great flat, great location. Just great!
