I am a buyer for a clothing and footwear retailer in Canada. I primarily travel for business, and prefer staying in apartments over hotels! When traveling for leisure, the same applies. Myself, and any colleagues I may travel with, are clean, professional, and respectful of the properties and hosts we stay in/with. Prompt communication is key, and I will always keep the hosts informed of arrival and departure times, and any deviations from due to flight delays, etc.
My main indulgences in life are wine and clothes - two things I try to find time to include in my work travel! Never too busy for a little shopping, right? Contrasted with the strict schedules of business travel, when traveling for personal leisure, I love to relax, wander without a plan, and just take things as they come. I feel the best way to get to know a city is to find the local hangouts, the independent shops, and veer off the beaten path once in a while.
