Wonderful hospitality! Angela and her husband were very friendly, the food was good, the the location excellent for seeing friends locally and enjoying the attractions to the east of Melbourne. A truly memorable weekend.
What a great little place this was. My wife & I enjoyed sitting down to breakfast with the family, listening to what they were up to wrt sports and stuff. It felt very much like being at home - warm & welcoming. The house is located in a quiet short street, ending at a park area, and situated about 10-12 minutes walk from Mitcham Station. Peter loves his garden, which includes a few different kinds of fruit trees. Home-made bread for breakfast was nice too
It was a pleasure staying with Angela and Peter. They were really nice people and always good for chatting. They were very easy to communicate with and really helpful too. They live in a nice, leafy neighbourhood and have such a lovely home. We also had the whole upstairs to ourselves which was great - lots of privacy with a TV - just AWESOME! They are one of the best hosts I've stayed with through my Airbnb experience and I would highly recommend them.
What a fantastic time. Angela, Peter plus the family were so welcoming and engaging. It was a great place to be based from. The facilities exceeded expectation, especially the space set aside for guests, a mutual respect for privacy when needed. A short walk to the station and an easy drive to get out to the Yara valley, Dandenong hills, or further afield. You choose how you want to get involved. Angela had great recommendations for so many things, it was brilliant way to get to know the area a bit better. As for the breakfast, well.... What can I say. Certainly not dull or repetitive, definitely tasty! I can't wait to go back and stay again
Our stay with Angela, Peter and family was great. My Mum joined us for the three night stay. It was our first time in Mitcham, an easy 40min drive from Melbourne. Our hosts were warm, nice people. We were even treated to Jack playing on his French Horn accompanied by Angela on piano.
The lovely family home sits in a pretty garden setting. The accommodation is very clean. Our stay was comfortable, and we had our own bedrooms, lounge and bathroom with a great shower. The large lounge space allowed us to catch up on emails and relax at the end of the day.
We had simple breakfasts including Angela's yummy homemade bread and some rhubarb cake for our road trip home.
This is a very affordable and pleasant way to stay near Melbourne city - especially when hotels are hard to get / too expensive (as for major sporting events).
Angela and her family were extremely accommodating, very lovely hosts and would recommend them to any airbnb customers
House and surrounds were great. Convenient to shops, restaurants, parks and major link roads while still in a quiet street/area. Super easy and relaxing. We will be back.
Angela & Peter were very good hosts. Very personable and had good tour information. We felt very much at home in their place. Location was nice, rooms were clean and our hosts were welcoming and friendly.
Angela and Peter were excellent hosts. Peter gave good advice re wineries and cafes to visit on our trip to the Yarra Valley. If you want to see the country to the east of Melbourne, then their house is an ideal place to stay.
I booked this accommoadtion for my Mum and Aunty when they were over for my Wedding in Feb. They loved the accommodation. Angela and her Husband were very welcoming. They are just a short walk to the train station and were offered a lift also. The bedrooms were upstairs in a seperate part of the house if you were looking for more privacy, however Mum really enjoyed the company of Angela and her Husband. We will definitely book this again. Thanks very much for everything.
Hayley, it was lovely to host your Mum and Aunty, they were really good fun.
We enjoyed meeting the Edwards family. Friendly, clean and full of great ideas to help us make our cottage better for those who visit in the future.
Well, what a nice surprise - having children to entertain can be a constant distraction & hopefully it wasn't too stressful for them! Not knowing what to expect especially as things are quite simple in the Kyoto Hut I thought I'd better make available the Kyoto Lovers loft to wake up to the sunrise. I unfortunately had to leave to go to Melbourne & was not there for the evening - hope you had a nice stay!
Happy and always smiling, Angela is one of the most lovely people I ever met.
I have known the Edwards family for over 10 years and they are outgoing, friendly and interested in new experiences and meeting new people. Their house is very spacious and clean and the area for guests is private. The location is attractive and green. I would highly recommend the hosts and their property.
