We absolutely love our stay at Renato & Christine's place. They are just lovely n easy going. Renato even took his time to show us where to eat and shop in town. The place is cozy, lovely and well equipped. They provided us fresh grounded coffee n Christine even baked some banana bread. They are just so lovely and delightful. I can't praise then enough for making us feel so comfortable n relaxed with our stay. I would recommend them for anyone who love to have a easy yet comfortable stay.
Delightful hosts, who made us v welcome. Great location for exploring Hobart and its surrounds. Lovely self contained accomodation.
Christine and Renato cooked the most amazing supper before we left and we spent such an enjoyable night in their company. Thank you very much for everything.
The welcome by Renato and Christine was second to none, they make you feel like long lost friends and then you see the flat.................gorgeous!!! We felt like we were back holidaying in Europe. The whole feel of our stay here was one that I will cherish, truly I wanted to move to Hobart and befriend this beautiful kind spirited couple. On a more practical note, the flat had anything and everything you could possibly need, homemade museli, ground coffee, yogurt, fruit, juice, shampoo and conditioner, a complete table full of brochures on things to do whilst in Hobart, the bed was comfy (it was the first time my partner and I slept for the entire night on our trip). If you stay here you will be truly thankful, you couldn't ask for better hosts. Thank you for being fantastic people!
You were both lovely guests too! Thank you for being so positive about everything! Welcome back any time.
All the best on your travels, Christine & Renato
From the minute we arrived Christine & Renato made us feel so at home. Their home exceeded our expectations and offered everything we needed and more!! The highlight of our stay was a meal with them both on our last night where we could have listened to their stories late into the night. We would recommend staying here and can't wait till we can make it back there again.
We also enjoyed hosting you both and loved your company too!
Welcome back anytime and thank you for your positive feedback.
Kind Regards Christine & Renato
The 'profiteroles' gjorde lykke efter vores kajaktur. Hvis vi får chancen vil vi helt sikkert vende tilbage.
Thank you both for your positive review. It was a pleasure to host you and you would be most welcome to return anytime.
All the best,
Christine & Renato
We are very glad that we chose Christine and Renato's place for our stay in Hobart. The accommodation was everything we expected and more. It was quiet, private, clean, comfortable, convenient and it really felt like a home away from home.
Christine and Renato are extremely generous and gracious hosts - not only did we arrived to a kitchen stocked with a large assortment of supplies (bread, croissants, yogurt, milk, butter, muesli, jams, honey - just to mention a few) but they also allowed us to raid their vegetable garden each evening.
So, thank you both for making our four days very memorable. We enjoyed our conversations, wine, coffee and mulberries. The gluten free dessert Christine surprised us with on our last night was delicious.
We certainly hope to return and stay with you again and will have no hesitation in recommending you to friends and family.

Christine and Renato made us feel extremely welcome,
The studio was gorgeous and the decor was beautiful.
The area of New Town was lovely, very quiet and approximately 3ks from the CBD of Hobart and 20 minutes from the airport.
Renato & Christine made us feel so welcome from the minute we arrived on their doorstep. Their accommodation is lovely and their provisions are beyond one's expectation. Renato came with us and showed us where the local supermarket and encouraged us to feel at home. They are a special couple who enhance the whole concept of what airbnb is all about. We would go and stay with them anytime - we just wish Hobart was not so far away from Scotland. Anybody who stays here, will leave feeling uplifted from meeting this special couple. Keep on doing with you do Renato and Christine as you do it so well!
We spent 3 wonderful weeks at the apartment of Renato and Christine. Renato and Christine are the best hosts one can wish for. They helped us in every possible way. To us it felt like staying in the house of really good friends. The apartment is in a living area, 10 minutes away from the city centre by bike or bus. There is a beautiful garden. For cooking the apartment is not ideal but there is a toaster, magnetron and fridge filled with supplies. We loved staying with them.
Thank you for your positive review. To host you both was indeed our pleasure, getting to know you like good friends!
Happy travelling in Tasmania,
Christine & Renato
Renato and Christine truly embody the spirit of hospitality. They are generous aesthetes who went out of their way to make our stay special. Both are very social and welcoming whilst being aware of guests' privacy.
The apartment is very comfortable with everything you could possibly need for a short stay. We were in town for the art and music festival MONA FOMA and it was very easy to get to Salamanca etc by car or taxi.
The place is clean, well appointed and very lovely, with plenty of art. There is a beautiful sunny conservatory that guests have access to if they desire that would be lovely for relaxing and reading. We were sorry to leave this lovely little sanctuary and hope to return.
A real pleasure to host you both. Thank you for choosing our apartment leaving such lovely comments - you know where we are next time you are in Hobart to visit.
Christine stayed with us for 4 nights and from the minute she arrived she became one of the family, joining us round the kitchen table, very much at ease with the busy flow of family and pets.
She is charming, sweet, funny and beautiful. I so enjoyed chatting to her at breakfast and felt I was losing a friend when she left.
Don't hesitate to host Christine, she is a delight and she will enrich your life as she has ours.
I have known Renato and Christine for 23 years. During this time they have successfully managed to operate their restaurant businesses, pursue creative passions, educate others in the intricacies of fine cuisine, grow their own produce, participate in a range of keep fit regimes, support new migrants and refugees, entertain friends and family, travel and most importantly raise four wonderful children in a stable, loving environment. Christine and Renato's home is an eclectic mix of sights, sounds and smells reflecting their creativity, love of family, enjoyment of cooking and music. Anyone who enters their home is instantly made to feel welcome. Conversation is always interesting and varied. They are widely travelled internationally, nationally and locally so they can provide visitors with a wide scope of things to see and do with places to experience. My life has been enriched by their presence in my life and a whole new world opened to me 23 years ago.
I can highly recommend staying with Renato and Chris. They are not only incredibly warm, welcoming and friendly but they are also very knowledgeable, well travelled, interesting people who will know exactly what a fellow traveller/ guest is looking for.
Renato is an incredibly warm, generous and considerate man, who has an incredible amount of energy and a great sense of fun. And passion for life. And a really thick Italian accent.
He's run several successful restaurants, taught young chefs how to cook, added and added to his beautiful home and garden. He and his beautiful wife Chris have raised an amazing family of four kids (and five grandkids). And for me, he's like a second father. So I guess I'm a little biased.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Renato as an airbnb host. His house is charming, warm and inviting, and always a special place to visit. You will feel very welcome.
If you really want to experience Hobart hospitality you can't go beyond Renato and Christine. Renato, Italian born with marvellous Mediterranean taste, combined with English born Christine, have together created a fantastic home stay experience. You can walk to the harbour of Hobart from their charming home and taste their fabulous cuisine. Their great local knowledge will make sure you have a memorable holiday in this intriguing Hobart town.
