We are both artists, living and working in Montreal. We love to cook, eat and travel.
Our stay in Montreal was absolutely wonderful. From the start we had great communication with Karen and she left us a very comprehensive and helpful guide for our arrival, along with a number of great suggestions for good spots to visit in the city.
Karen's apartment is spacious, comfortable, and stayed very cool even though the weather was hot and very humid the weekend we were in town. The apartment has a very well-equipped kitchen, which we took advantage of as we like to cook when we travel and stay in Airbnbs. The Jean-Talon Market is literally down the street-- we visited frequently to pick up food, snacks, and even souvenirs (iced cider wine!).
We'd love to stay again, if Karen would have us!
We had such a lovely stay at Karen's place. The apartment is well situated, close to the metro, Jean Talon market, and delicious shops and restaurants. The place was much larger and even more charming than depicted in the photos. It is beautifully unique and interesting with an eclectic mix of furnishings and decor. The room was cozy, quiet, and comfortable, which made for restful sleeps. Karen was flexible and extremely helpful in accommodating our requests. It would be a pleasure to stay here again.
Karen't apartment was even better than the pictures. It was very cozy, warm and had a real rustic charm to it. The backyard is lovely and had it not been for the rain I would have really loved having a cup of coffee there and relaxing. The neighborhood is nice as well. It was a really nice stay!
Karen's apartment was absolutely perfect. The proximity to the market as well as a few bars and restos off the beaten path (Notre Dame des Quilles, Miss Villeray, Dep Pick-up...) was a huge plus! I was also pleasantly surprised to discover the arts center, Eastern Bloc, just past St-Laurent (which is a stone's throw away).
The apartment itself is spacious, clean, charming and crafty. The backyard backs onto a schoolyard... so if you hate waking up to the "dreadful" sound of playful children, this isn't for you. I would definitely stay here again. Very comfortable and allows an exploration of a different part of town.
Karen's apartment was by far one the most beautiful and artistically designed flats I have ever rented on AirBNB! The photo simply do not do this place justice! It is super spacious, very comfortable, well-equipped, and perfectly located. There is a dép (corner store) a few steps away, the métro is less than a 2 minute walk, with tons of cafés, bakeries, and restos in short walking distance---and to top it off: The marché Jean-Talon is less than 5 minutes walk! Karen was away when I arrived, but was very clear and helpful before my arrival--she left the contact information for a neighbour in case of emergency. I would really recommend this place to anyone who wants to truly get a sense of what being in the heart of Montréal feels like. I stayed at the flat for about 11 days, and enjoyed every minute!
