We have taken your feedback about our rates on board and spoken to our main agent in Aitutaki/Rarotonga and have been reassured that our Villas are priced accordingly. To compare rates between Aitutaki and Rarotonga would not be fair. There are few well-appointed homes on the Aituaki and our Villa is advertised in the self-catering category and not to be perceived as a resort. We have a lot of families staying who love the space and being away from hotels or resorts.
Internet on Aitutaki has always been a pretty poor standard. Due to this, we have felt that the cost outweighed the benefit in providing wifi. However your feedback has encouraged us and we will look into providing a wifi service.
We do not provide aircon as it is very expensive to run and we have never advertised that it is provided.
We feel as though some of your comments are unfair as they are part of being on a very remote island and are outside of our control such as the beach, mozzies, and access to groceries. We always advise our guests to look at hiring a car or motorised scooter, or if they’re up for it – Bicycles.
We are putting together a house manual will make sure this is provided for all future guests.
