I'm living in Bruges and work at the port of Zeebrugge.
alex's place is truly amazing and located just right next to the old town. enjoy the walk for around 5 mins to reach the market square. supermarket is nearby.
the room is clean and have everything needed.
the house.itself keeps a good shape
we stayed.very happily in this house and definitely recommend to my friends
Beautiful and clean home in an excellent location. We stayed for two nights and admittedly spent most of that time out in the city of Bruges exploring, so room was ideal for our needs.
The only thing I'd say was that we didn't actually meet Alexander! A little bit of a shame as we'd been hoping to get advice from a local, and so many other reviewers have raved about this.

alex was a perfect host, we arrived early and could let ourselves in. the room was very nice and so was the bathroom, we had the top floor to ourselves so felt like we had our own space. the chocolates and biscuits were a nice touch too. would recommend staying with alexander...the house is only 10-15 min walk to the centre of the city too
The apartment is well located and very clean. It's got everything you need and the bed is very comfortable!
Alexander is a nice host, helpfull and communicative.
A perfect place to stay a week at Brugges. The house is very near the center (10-15 minutes walking), in a nice neighborhood.
The house was clean and warm, and the bed was *SO* confortable!!
I recommend this place :D
We had a really nice welcome from Alexander and his girlfriend. They gave us recommandations about places to eat and everything. We spent such a good time in Bruges and we'll recommend this place to stay. To enter the place, the "safe key box" is really convenient. A really nice play to stay !
Me and my girlfriend stayed for 3 nights. Alexander was a nice host, though we didn't see him often, he was relaxed and helpful when we did. Our room was not yet cleaned when we arrived, but since we went into town, that didn't matter that much. When we returned, our room had been taken care of and it was a lovely room. The floor was a bit cold, I would have taken some slippers if I had known. Other than that, it was perfect. Bathroom for ourselves which was clean and warm. We could use the kitchen after discussing at which times. We even watched a film through the on-demand system, for which we payed 5 euros in cash. I definitely reccomend it!
Great guests. Thank you for leaving the apartment so clean and tidy. You are welcome back any time.
If you want to have an amazing weekend in Bruges without paying too much money for the hotels in the center, that is definitely PLACE TO STAY for you. Seriously, you turn left from the Dirk Boustraat, walk 2 min and you're in the old part of the city. You'll cross the channel surrounding old center and will enter it from the western gate Ezelpoort. 7 min of further walk - and you're on the Market Square where you can fully enjoy the atmosphere of medieval Flemish city. Alexander is a great person, very open to new people and other cultures, he can give you useful advices of where to go, what food to try and of course, what kind of beers made in abbeys - so-called 'tropistas' - you should ask for in the pubs.
