Our stay at Sesselja's home was cosy, easy and just what we needed after long drives each day. Sesselja greeted us on the first day and was very friendly and we felt absolutely welcome. Unfortunately the weather was a bit rubbish so we weren't able to use the bikes she very kindly offered us. The rooms were well equipped with lots of bedding and the main bed was very comfy. My only (very slight) criticism/observation would be that the ceilings are quite low so if you are tall you might find the place a tiny bit claustrophobic and partly for this reason the flat is probably more suitable for 2-3 people rather than 4. However, we loved it! And the public pool was an absolute delight... Do not miss this very local experience!
The family was very kind, they offered us a coffee when we arrived and answered to our questions about the county and the inhabitants.
The flat is spacious, warm and clean.
They were very helpful and friendly. Didn't hesitate to help us find things around the town, or ring a taxi for us!
Sesselja og hendes mand er meget imødekommende mennesker. Jeg har kun godt at sige om vores ophold.
The absolute best experience I have ever had with Airbnb! The space is fantastic, lots of space and light, very clean, I felt at home. Really great location super close to everything, I we were able to walk everywhere and had all the essentials near by. Wonderful hosts and gave us a bunch of suggestions for places to go and eat. I would without a doubt recommend this place
This is a great little place in an amazing neighbourhood! Sesselja and her family made us feel very welcome -- answering our questions, and helping us whenever we needed. The location was ideal (especially with a car to park), with lots of choices for the whole family.
Wonderful apartment with more space than we could use. We appreciated the bread, cheese, milk, juice, and butter left for us to use. Our lovely host made sure we didn't miss the solar eclipse and even provided film for us to use to watch safely. Our only regret is that we were too busy to take her and her family up on the offer to visit. Great location by the cabin hotel made it easy to get picked up there for tours. Bank, convenience store and more within a few blocks. Appreciated the shampoo available for use.
Sesselja is a genuinely lovely lady who made me and my friends feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. She really adopted the mentality of 'make yourselves at home'. The house itself is lovely and wonderfully suited for a group of friends who need somewhere to stay. The lower floor is essentially its own flat with bathroom, kitchen, bedroom and living room (with a sofa bed). All the necessary amenities were provided, ranging from kitchen utensils to bathroom toilet paper.
Sesselja, Kjartan and family made us feel at home. Communications prior to arrival were great as she worked with us on questions we had about check-in, check-out, the area, etc.
The setup was great as the area was clean, comfortable, quiet, and child friendly. The pullout bed, sofa combo worked well as did the side-by-side twin bed setup in the adjoining bedroom.
The kitchen was stocked with bread, cheese, G-milk (creamer), coffee, sugar, and all the necessary basics one would need for a great stay.
The bathroom had plenty of towels, hand towels, soap, and supplies as well. The water pressure and heat of the water were great too.
Location was a homerun too as the bus stop was right across the street along with other shops (convenience store, bakery, hot dog/ice cream shop, swimming pool). The ocean is conveniently a short walk across the street.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Iceland and already began talking about how to make it back there in the summertime to see the rest of the beautiful country.
Thank you Sesselja for the hospitality!
Sesselja was wonderful. Her home is central and has all the amenities needed to cook and relax (which is great when visiting Reykjavik in the winter). She gave us lots of very helpful advice about what to visit, where to swim and how to stay safe on the roads in Icelandic weather.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who want to stay somewhere homely and out of the main tourist traps. We were comfortable and well looked after.
Thank you! We had a great stay and look forwards to visiting Iceland again.
It was nice to host Sesselja & husband. I would recommend her to any host
Sessy was a great guest. Very friendly, warm and easy-going right from the start which made it very easy to chat. In the short time she was with us she got out and about and saw many of the sites of Adelaide by bike. She was very clean and courteous around the house. I would highly recommend her to all future airbnb hosts.
Sessy is a very charmming and hospitable person. The apartment is nice and has everything one needs . Sessy provide you varm welcome with coffee, juice, bread and cheese.
And on top of it all she has bicycles for all. Very well situated for biking.
