The apartment is a block off East Beach, spacious, sunny, with one wall of windows overlooking the sunset at the beach over rooftops and palm trees. The kitchen is perfect for a home cook. We loved our stay. The decor is very beach house: a mixture of South Tyrol and Pacific Northwest First Nations, with open flame gas heaters and a gas fireplace for warmth. Lovely linens. We loved it and appreciated every moment.
We had a wonderful stay and Pilar was very helpful and responsive to our needs. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. The place also happens to have a great view of the beach and is only around 2 blocks away! It's also a short walk from a playground and the zoo. We are hoping to stay there again next year!
My two friends, boyfriend, and I just spent three nights at Pilar's two bedroom apartment in Santa Barbara. We were very pleased by the location and price - we were in town for a wedding that was held at the zoo, which was barely a 10 min walk from from the apartment. Being only a couple blocks from the beach, and very close to all that downtown and State Street have to offer was great. We had to catch a cab back to the apartment one night from State St and the fare was only $12. The only downside of the location is it's close proximity to the train track, which can be quite noisy. You can also hear faint sounds of the highway since it's right on the other side of the tracks. It was worth the location and price for us though. The apartment was cozy, the beds were very comfortable (we slept great!), and the kitchen was clean (though we didn't really use it to cook anything). We did have some issues with there being ants in the bathroom and shower, but they seemed to clear out after a day. Pilar was not in town when we came to stay, but she left a key in a lock box with directions on how to get in and the whole process went smoothly. We didn't have any trouble finding parking on the street. Overall a good experience!
Really enjoyed staying here - walking distance to the beach, whole foods market, etc., and it really felt like Southern California beach vacation.
This was a great spot in Santa Barbara, we loved it. The place was really large and comfortable and decorated wonderfully. The view is really excellent and Pilar made us feel welcome. Our only drawback was some periodic train noise that's pretty common to this area, but I'd definitely be looking for this place again when we return to SB.
The condo was clean and tidy, with lots of natural light in the living room with the ocean view. Kitchen was fully stocked - we baked a pie! The beach, restaurants, and grocery stores are all within a quick walk. Pilar was quick to respond to questions. Overall, a great stay!
The apartment was fantastic and in a great location for us as we were going to a wedding on East Beach (it's a little further from State Street but there's a shuttle bus which runs down the seafront - it's a very nice walk anyway, takes about 30 minutes).
Pilar was quick to respond, helpful and friendly. The place was really nicely decorated, spotlessly clean, and well equipped with everything we could have needed. The parking space was very nice to have too, and supermarkets and the beach were only a short walk away.
Santa Barbara is a lovely place, and I would definitely stay at Pilar's apartment again if I was ever lucky enough to go back!
Increadibly beatiful appartment. Very nice location. Very beatiful house with ocean view, just half a block from the beach. a lot of sun and very nice interior design with wooden furnitures. I stayed there with 3 friends.
Great location close to the beach
Great location and plenty of space. Off-street parking a plus.
Pilar is a fantastic guest. She had great communication, was very easy going and quiet. I honestly think she took better care of my place than I did.
I highly recommend her to anyone who asks. She is welcome back any time.
Pilar only stayed for a handful of hours before catching her flight. And I only chatted with her for a few minutes. Very lovely and easy going lady. I certainly would like to host her again in the future.
