We'd love to welcome you to Tyn y Twll where we are creating our dream for a rural respite and relaxing retreat in our magical part of Mid-Wales. We are very lucky to live within a community where the values of kindness, mutual support and spontaneous generosity still flourish.
Our passions are sustainable living, walking and making the most of the wild outdoors. When we're not creating yet more vegetable plots in the garden, you find us yomping up Disgwylfa mountain to the lakes on the top just to go WOW at the view, making lemon curd with our surplus eggs, acting in the village panto, singing our hearts out in the local community or curled up at opposite ends of the sofa (with a dog each) reading quietly. We don't watch much TV but are committed Borgen fans and Lesley has a weakness for Strictly Come Dancing. At this Paul sighs deeply and buries his head in the crossword!
For fun Lesley likes to get behind a paddle and take her kayak on Lake Vyrnwy or, her middle-aged creaking fitness permitting, take a leisurely cycle ride along the local lanes. Paul is used to be a mean cricket player tho' these days can he can found on the garden swing with the radio listening to the cricket or on the sofa watching rugby depending on the time of year.
Paul is a volunteer with the British Red Cross and Lesley works from home over the internet as Your Virtual Organiser writing and editing newsletters and mentoring small businesses in a range of roles. She also works as a Citizens' Advocate for people with learning disabilities.
We love being part of Airbnb; as meeting new guests and hearing about your stories and your travels inspires us and enhances our community - both local and global. So if you think you might like to visit us.... do drop us a line or give us a call. We'd love to hear from you.
Our motto: "Mi casa es su casa" for the non Spanish speakers among- " My house is your house"
