Love being in Mexico....
This place is alright ..... Just alright.
On the plus side its spacious, just clean enough, quiet and not too far out of town and real easy to get to if you watch the video link.
Real close to Grande Cenote underground caves which are definitely worth a visit.
On the down side it was extremely poorly furnished in terms of kitchen facilities and cleaning stuff although admittedly Aniko was obliging and sorted out what was missing.
Worth noting it did not have a microwave which we did find strange in these times.
I do also believe that the sheets provided were 99% nylon and must have come from a Primark sale.
Its too far out of town and definitely too far from the beach unless you have a car and I'd go as far to say too far even by bicycle. As we did have a car it didn't pose as a problem.
We did find the place rather internally grubby along with the fact that it is kind of a "Beverley Hills 9120" throwback set up with other shares who although considerate and quite didn't really take pride in the the shared area/garden/pool area which was very scruffy. Understandably this is not Aniko's fault.
All in all not a bad spot but also nothing special.
The reservation was canceled 78 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Casa Mantra is just a paradise! Anika is super friendly, caring, easy going and nice. She provided us with all kind of directions, explanations and was very caring. The complex is gorgeous in the way to Cobá close to the Grand Cenote and 10'-15' driving from the beach area. It is all new, with wonderful shower and two bedrooms. We could not ask for more! Thank you!
We had a wonderful vacation and the house has just what you need. I would rent this place again
I was staying in Casa Mantra for two weeks (2x1) and I'll definitely go back there whenever I go to Tulum again. Beautiful location, very nice apartments. Nice and quiet, and the pool is an extra joy every morning.
