My boyfriend and I have spent the past 14 months living / working and traveling in China and are now heading home via Spain, France and the UK. We want to see the sights, relax, quietly enjoy the nightlife and eat lots of delicious food!!! We are both quite independent and happy to do our own thing, but would welcome any advice or travel tips if you've got any.
Things we enjpy: eating local foods, shopping at local food markets, walking everywhere, viewing old buildings and sites, walking and discovering things hidden in laneways and tiny streets, drinking coffee, modern art (Matt) and contemporary art (Lisa), music and seeing live bands, practising other languages with each other, having picnics in parks, shopping (Lisa only!), comparing everything to 'back in china', taking many many photos!
Things we don't enjoy so much: getting ripped off, tacky touristy areas packed only with foreign tourists, awful food and delayed transportation.
If i could turn traveling into my day job, i'd jump at the chance. Unfortunately i have a cat back home who I hope misses me very much because I can't wait to get back and see her again!!
