I'm an Alabama transplant. I originally moved to NYC for a job, but have since fallen in love with the city. I enjoy comedy, music, and stage here in New York just as often as I can. I love meeting new people.

Rhoades was (or is, actually) a wonderfully relaxed and friendly host. His flat is cozy, with a backyard, which we enjoyed -
in general, everything worked smoothly and there's really nothing to complain or worry about. Bunk bed and couch both very comfy, lovely hip neighborhood, and adorable Blinky cat :)
Rhoades was a fantastic host. We really enjoyed our stay with him very much. The few times we met through the week (he being the working man and we the lazy vacationers) we had great fun. The apartment is great and in a very nice and interesting neighbourhood, which added much to our terrific NYC experience. Not to forget Blinky the cat, who did her best to make us feel even more welcome each time we got back from sightseeing!
I'd happily stay with Rhoades again, should I get the chance, and I do hope to meet him again sometime, maybe even in good old Germany!
I stayed at Rhoades' place 4 nights this August. Rhoades was a great host. He made me and my friend feel at home, and he gave us great atvice on bars and food in the area. The place is very cosy and the neighbourhood is really nice!
Rhoades reminds us our exchange student hometown back in Mississippi because he is so hospitable and loves to cook for us! We had so much together! He showed us around, we went dancing even though he more likely to hangs out his favorite bar really close by:)
location of the house is pretty good close to different subway station you'll ever need..
Also the house has this really cute backyard which was my favorite and i can guarantee that whoever stays here will be able to see one of the barbacue parties cause thats what Rhoades likes to do:) ps. İts realllly delicious. I'm gonna miss it back in Turkey. But this will be another reason to come back NY and visit him cause I know we'll do!
Rhoades was an excellent host and very nice. I was unfortunately not able to see him much of my stay, but the time that I did see him was very pleasant and enjoyable. The location of the apartment is very convenient to reach Manhattan, and the area it is in itself is also very nice. The spare room is also quite pleasant, though a little on the small side. That was not a problem, however, as Rhoades graciously offered an extra mattress and even his own bed to us. In the end, I would definitely recommend Rhoades, and I would stay here again if I come back to New York City.
Rhoades was an awesome host. We felt completely at home and even went back to visit after we had left. He introduced us to some great people and a side of New York that we wouldn't have got to see without him. Thanks!
The apartment was large and comfortable and situated perfectly between a number of subway stations that deliver you into Manhattan in minutes. A great place with a great host and a great cat. We will definitely be back!
Rhoades was the best. He not only opened his home to us but we enjoyed a night out with a bunch of his friends. The apartment is in a very convenient location. Everything you need is close by or only a short subway ride away.
I would recommend staying with Rhoades, not only for the great apartment but for the great company also!!!
Thanks dude xxx
Rhoades is a cool and generous guy!
I have been very lucky to find him and his stylish Brooklyn flat for my first time in NY!
Perfectly located, the flat is very close to all subway stations direct to Manhattan and airports! Highly recommended for those travellers who seeks a real NY living experience!
Rhoades is an AWESOME host! Amazing taste in music, knows all the local events going on and an absolute master in the kitchen. His apartment is also super funky, in one of the most interesting parts of Brooklyn and really close to public transport connections that can whisk you straight into Manhattan (via the all-important Williamsburg, of course). This guy is great to stay with if you don't know a lot about NYC and want to have an awesome time without being a token tourist.
N.B. You will also meet Blinky the cat. Blinky is the cutest thing you will ever see in your life, that I promise you.
