Really good, loved the ewok dog, the harp and the impressive main room.
A wonderful host and house. Alice was very attentive with lots of useful advice regarding climbing Snowdon, tasty cooked breakfasts and interesting stories about the renovation of the church.
Absolutly recomendable experience! Fantastic old church converted into a stylish bnb. Alice ia just wonderful and she helps wherever possible. The athmosphere in the church is relaxing especially with the warming fire place... room was very nice and clean. Brekfast was perfect (full english fresh cooked if you like). area is predominatly booked by hikers but you can also just drive around and visit some very nice places to walk amd view.
amazing space, pictures just don't do St curig church the justice. Alice and girls were so friendly and made us feel like home. We had a pleasure of hearing Hero sing a Welsh version of Hallelujah too, playing grand piano herself. What more could you ask for! Thank you Alice and everyone at St Curig Church!
What an amazing find!! Serendipitous!
An amazing building, a skilful conversion and a very warm welcome.
Hero, Alice's daughter sang and played for us, so beautiful in such appropriate surroundings.
The generous breakfast sufficed for the day.
Alice has created a wonderful AIRBNB.
We are looking forward to a return visit next year.
Stunning accommodation. Very comfortable & cozy & Alice provided us with some great tips to maximise our short stay along with fueling us up well with great breakfasts! All in all a fab holiday which we hope to repeat soon
Thanks so much for visiting. We loved having you to stay.
We had an amazing night’s stay in this beautiful converted church, thanks to the warm welcome from the owners. We were in the area for business and would definitely return for leisure. The room was comfy and clean, the en-suite bathroom had a large bath and a powerful shower. Everything was great; the main draw is the incredible communal area with instruments, log fire, soft sofas, plenty of games and access to tea / coffee. The original church features are stunning the mosaic ceiling will have you captivated. The only negative was that we were only there for one night’s stay, we didn’t want to leave! The cooked breakfast set us up in the morning for our 5 hour drive back to the office.
If you have stumbled on this review/ host/ accommodation then look no further, go ahead and book a few nights stay.
Quick communication, honest and clear answers. Alice sets expectations at the beginning - bunk room bathroom in -5 C is cold to use but should you wish to pay extra, luxury rooms are available in the same building. All 4 of us enjoyed this beautiful building, grand but cozy living room with toasty woodburner, pets for both catpeople and dogpeople and breakfast prepared by Alice herself!
Beautiful place and great breakfast!
Fantastic stay in the bunk room within this beautiful converted church, with comfy beds, log fire, very welcoming and cozy atmosphere. Located on the A5 very close to Snowdon, local excellent pub for dinner & drinks, yummy full cooked breakfast made to order. Would definitely come back again!!! Thanks for a great weekend Alice and family :)
Alice and their daughter were very gracious when they arrived and their room was not ready for them. Hopefully we put things right for them. Alice is also an Airbnb host and we always enjoy swapping hosting stories. Alice and her daughter would be very welcome to stay again.
We didn't actually get to meet Alice but the communication was great, her respect for the place was high and the room was left clean and tidy. Couldn't fault her and would be welcome back anytime!
Turned out to be a very brief meeting as Alice didn't arrive until late and tired (due to the rigors of horse eventing) and then had to leave very early the next morning without having time to chat over breakfast, and well before we got up! We just ended up providing a place to crash which was a pity as we really like to get to know guests a little and exchange a few experiences. Perhaps next time there is an event in our area?
Super guests. So full of beans. They came all the way from Snowdonia with a horse. Very impressed with Alice's daughter, so well spoken and friendly. Bless her. They were late in and early out. Loved having them. Come back soon.
I like guests like Alice and her daughter, low maintenance, clean, quiet and also good communication.
If they come back, I will happily give a discount.
I enjoyed hosting Alice and her daughter whilst she was visiting Manchester. It was actually a nice experience to host another Airbnb host and they were friendly and communicative - everything I expected.
They were away early the following morning so we didn't spend loads of time together but that's also one of the nice things about Airbnb: guest autonomy and people feeling comfortable to make themselves at home (and help themselves to an early breakfast.) I'd welcome them back.
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful family :) I am so glad that I had a chance to meet them, host them. Alice and her children are friendly, easygoing, warm, kind, charming, cheerful people. I wish we stay friends for life. Good luck to you all and I hope to see you all again somewhere in the world :) Truly, deeply, highly recommended :)
