We're retired teachers; lovers of walks and gardens; very "left" politically; and have travelled rather extensively. We have 2 kids and 2 grandkids and spend lots of time and energy with our Burmese refugee friends in Ithaca, New York.

you just never know what the wind blows onto your doorstep and when Sally and Bob arrived onto mine I recognized instantly that we were kindred spirits. We had great conversations about countless topics and their adventurousness inspired me. When I walked them to the bus upon their departure I felt like I was saying so long to long time friends. It's also not everyday that you meet a women who was a journey( woman ) carpenter of many years , 70's ,80's 90's ...... I'm imagining....and retired from the profession maybe 15 years ago to take on another career that was a little less demanding. They are welcome back anytime, and their friends too!
Bob and Sally blended in seamlessly around here - we even had our cookbook autographed (ask them... I give no secrets!). What adventuress lively people ... super friendly, easy, appreciative and respectful.. oh, and patient - in the wake of some hijinks that were played out when I wasn't looking that they fell victim to.. (again, no secrets exposed here!). We wish them continued happiness and exciting adventures! - Carol and Joe
We totally enjoyed having Bob and Sally to stay. Friendly, charming, urbane, witty, relaxed, interesting and interested, you could not wish for more enchanting guests.
An absolute pleasure to host. This is the reason Airbnb exists... so that lovely people can meet other lovely people from around the world.
Robert and his wife were lovely guests and I very much enjoyed them staying. They were clean and tidy, were exceptionally accommodating of my working at home and of having my own friends.
