The place is great, it looks a bit far away when you look at the map but I was surprise by how close it is to everything you need. The place is clean and got everything you need for a confortable stay. Michael's indications were very clear and helpful. There is only 2 sets of keys so it can be a down if you are a large group that don't want to stay in a pack during all the trip.
Overall it's a very nice place and I would definitely stay there again.
We were 2 adults and 2 kids
We enjoyed very much staying in Michael apartment
It is a perfect location for those who want to visit Barcelona ( only 3 stops metro to city center )
I do recommend it
The location and flat are really nice, but few things were not so good:
- flat was not clean at all (dust and hair everywhere, broken glass of the light bull on the bed - really dangerous), dirty counter, moldy dishwasher, unclean dishes, we didn't get the matress for the 6 months old baby as agreed, but than Michael brought it at midnight when baby was allready sleeping, there were no paper towels and no kitchen cloths. But the good things have to be outlined too: the view is great, the location is perfect, the apartment is good for 6 people and very functional.
My 3 girlfriends and I shared this apartment for 3 nights. Michael was FANTASTIC! He helped with our bags, let us check in early ans was VERY prompt when we needed anything. For example, we got in one night and there was no heat or hot water. We emailed Michael at 10pm and he had a guy at our door within 15 minutes with a heater and he also fixed the hot water pilot light. We also emailed Michael late one night because we had a hard time calling a cab company for 8am arrival. Michael hooked us up there too. In regard to the apartment, keep in mind you get what you pay for. We were not expecting a 5 star hotel. We just needed a decent place to crash after a hard day of touring and that's what we got. Sure the floor is a little dirty and the place is not in perfect condition (missing light bulbs, scratchy towels and kind of "lived in") but we were ok with that. The metro, grocery store and many small food shops were close and convenient. Please stop by Cafe Cafe down the street and around to the right. Lola is so sweet and took care of our coffee and breakfast every morning!
Overall we were very satisfied with our stay and would return again for sure. Still more to see and do in Barcelona! Hope to make it back.
We stayed in Michael's apartment in mid November for 3 nights. We really enjoyed our stay, the apartment was spacious and comfortable and in a really pleasant area. It was very un touristy which was exactly what we wanted.
The directions from the airport were fantastic, we had little trouble finding the place, it was very easy.
There were large supermarkets across the road from the apartment, a metro station just down the hill and buses which pass just at the top of the hill.
We really like to walk so chose to walk from the apartment everywhere. It was really easy, you can walk straight down the hill and end up in the centre of town, passing lots of beautiful architecture on the way. I estimate it took us about 45 minutes to get into the centre, but we could easily have taken the metro and been there in a few minutes.
Generally we went out for the day, walked down the hill into the town explore and then the end of the day would get the metro or bus back up the hill.
We took the 17 bus a lot as we knew it went from the centre and stopped the top of our road, but it did take quite a long time and there was probably a better route!
The apartment: there were 4 bedrooms, 3 were doubles (two had balconies) and one was a single. The bedrooms were clean and spacious and we found the beds very comfortable.
The kitchen was large and had lots of useful bits and pieces like pasta, salt, sugar and other bits available.
There was one bathroom with a toilet, bath (but no plug or tap) and a shower head above the bath. There was also a single toilet room separately.
The lounge had a nice big table and chairs and a comfy corner sofa.
We thought the apartment was great and would absolutely rent this one again if we return to Barcelona.
Very nice and clean apartment. Spacious with nice tv and big kitchen. Short 5 minute walk from metro which can take you all over the city. Michael was very nice and helped us with anything we needed.

While the location of the apartment was great (right in the port area, and fairly easy to get around and go to the clubs on the beach, which were only an 8 minute walk away), there was much to be desired in this apartment. While the decor was nice (pretty much looked like an ikea showroom), upon arriving to the apartment we did not have electricity. We were slightly compensated for this, but because the apartment runs on some sort of a battery, we were told we should try not to use too much electricity (i.e. things like the oven, fridge, etc). That also meant that we had to turn the battery off every time we left the apartment. Even in taking as many precautions as possible to conserve the battery for the three days we were there, by the third day the battery had stopped working. We went an entire day without electricity and wifi (couldn't even take hot showers!). Michael and his friend were hard to reach. Only by around 8 pm on our last night was Michael finally able to fix the situation. Definitely not a good experience because of that.
