Response from Lily:
I had 3 suite cases with me and made arrangement for you to leave the key in the mail box because we had discussed that you would be out of town or in bed when I would arrive. I did not impose myself on your neighbour, he didn't want to leave me on your porch while myself and AirBnb team was trying to track you down. I did him to charge my phone as I was running out of power. There is no coffee shop that was open in your neighbourhood at that time of the night as I well know since I use to live near there.
I did not do toe nails, but did but my nails at your table. I had laid out paper towels to ensure that there wasn't anything left on your table. Some of my nail polish remover did spill which damaged your varnish. As you know since the damage is in the shape of the paper towel imprints. I didn't realize it left a permanent mark until the next day which is when I told you about them. I had asked if you wanted to deal with it and tell me what you intend to do, but you waited until after I have left to put in the claim. As for the extra cost beyond damage deposit I paid them not Airbnb. So I paid all $300 for you to refinish your table which I have done already today. Considering you had put the claim in on Monday and today is Wednesday I think very responsible of me. I was a little surprised at the high cost but I did the damage and I paid. I did ask to see if you can send me a picture of the refinished table so I know the job was done professionally which I can assume is why it is so expensive.
As for the room, you knew the room was cold that's why you offered the heat lamp and had 3 blankets on the bed. The draftiness of your apartment is the nature of the building, which I don't think you could do too much about. I didn't mention it because I was trying to be a good guest and not complain. I already felt guilty about leaving the heating lamp on while I was in the room during the day and in the evenings because I was wasting energy and costing you more money for electricity bill.
