I run a startup in St. Louis.
We had a great experience staying at Edison's loft. Perfect location to attend a show at the Scottrade Center and plenty of restaurants nearby. Would definitely recommend!
Very beautiful and clean place! The host was very nice and helpful. Amazing experience.
The loft was open and comfortable. The location was great--easily walkable to the Arch, City Park, restaurants, and grocery store.
This apartment was the high point of our visit to St. Louis. It is, as picture, starkly beautiful. There is a great view of a cityscape and the adjoining park. There are multiple clubs, coffee bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The noise level, even at prime clubbing time, was just background noise, even for us light sleepers.
The appointments for the loft were great. The furniture was loungey and comfortable. The bed necessitates an alarm clock. There was plenty of space for storage and maneuvering. The furniture invited serious goofing off. It was a great place to chat comfortably with visiting friends. HVAC kept us cool in spite of 100 degree humidity outside. The place is so quiet that we suspect that the neighbors are all departed or deceased. As an added bonus, the galley kitchen was more than up to the task of cooking, if the spirit ever moved us.
Nice loft in downtown St Louis, easy walking to several casual restaurants.
We had a wonderful time at Edison's loft! The pictures are accurate, the space is beautiful, and it's an excellent location. There was plenty of space for four of us to sleep, relax, and work. Edison is also extremely responsive, welcoming, and easy to communicate with. The loft is missing a few things, like a working air mattress, towel hooks in the bathroom, and more kitchenware, which would have been nice for our longer stay. The bed is broken, as mentioned in another review, but it didn't impact our sleep. Overall, we loved our stay here!
Edison's loft was very beautiful. only thing that went wrong was the bed collapsed when we laid in it. It would be nice if there was more kitchen ware in the kitchen as well. it was an easy process to get in the building and into the loft. I would definitely stay here again only if the bed is fixed.
Edison's space was a beatiful loft: large windows, exposed beams and brick and concrete floors. He was exceptionally quick to reply to questions and had coffee ready to go for us.
However, as others have said, the neighborhood was pretty noisey and there were some small things (no iron or hair dryer, broken floor fan) that could have been fixed/added before our stay to make it better. If you're looking for loft living near the stadiums, City Museum and some great restaurants, it's a perfect spot but if you want something a little quieter and with more personal touches, I'd look elsewhere.
Edison's Airbnb was a trendy loft in the downtown St. Louis area. It was close to all the sites and in walking distance to all the places we wanted to go to. But with city living comes with city hassles. The parking was kind of inconvenient and the area was very loud. Nothing against the Airbnb itself, just things to deal with in the city. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
The place was great. It has a great location which is close to a variety of restaurants and things to do (in our case walking distance to Busch Stadium). The loft was clean and Edison left clear instructions as well as provided a wealth of information about the area and places to eat and things to do.
The only bad thing: it was noisy. I think we noticed this more because we are not used to "city living" but we found it hard to sleep with the noise of the street and other people in the building.
In summary: Edison's place is great and he is a great host, but can be a little noisy at night and depending on if you are used to the city noise or not, it can be an issue. We had a great time, thanks Edison!
