Just perfection. The photos don't do justice. It's beautifully decorated and clean. The location is lovely, friendly neighbors. It's just a dream.
Zach and Jess are extremely effective and cordial they made the process very easy. I'm very impressed will definitely come back for my next visit to BK.
Zachariah and Jess's place was just great for our weekend stay! The location was very convenient, located close to the subway and Ft. Greene park. This includes the farmers market and flea market right by the place on Saturday morning. The place itself was nicely renovated and adorably decorated - like a Pinterest board :)
It was a breeze making the arrangements with them regarding keys and staying time. They also provided some great recommendations for places in the area to eat. Overall, we had a great experience!
We had the pleasure of staying in Zachariah's place for two nights and enjoyed every minute of it. Zachariah was always very communicative and gave us all of the details we needed to find the apartment, parking, restaurants, and even things to do locally.
The apartment itself is very well-appointed and looks like it was fully renovated within the last few years. The kitchen, which had a gas range, was perfect for cooking and had all of the pots, pans, and utensils you could need to make a feast. The living area was very nice and had a sense of personality which we truly enjoyed. The bathroom was spacious, modern, and clean. The bedroom was massive and the bed was surprisingly comfortable (almost like a high-end hotel bed) and the blackout curtains were very nice for sleeping in late in the morning. My only critique would be that there isn't really any hanging space for clothes (like a closet), but we managed to make do with the hooks found behind the door in the bathroom to hang our pressed clothes. Obviously, this is a very minor thing and did not detract from our overall experience.
The location could not have been better. It was our first time in Brooklyn and we were enamored by the community and local area. Directly across the street is a lovely spacious park which has a great view of the Freedom Tower. To our surprise, there was an amazing local farmer's market literally right outside the front door on Saturday where we purchased some local eggs, sausage, cheese, and bread, and made ourselves a delicious breakfast. There are multiple subway stations within a 7 minute walk, and a million restaurants, bars, and shops within the same distance. Door-to-door, it took us about 20 minutes to get to the Financial District, and about 30 minutes make it up to Columbus Circle/Central Park.
We parked our car directly in front of the apartment for FREE all weekend, whereas in Manhattan it would have been at least $150 for three days of parking. In terms of value, this place can't be beat. We'll certainly be back the next time we are in NYC!
Zachariah and Jess were great, so helpful making arrangements for the keys, and their apartment was gorgeous! We felt so safe and so at home, my wife and I will certainly try to stay here again the next time we are headed to NYC
Zachariah's home was beautiful and in a very convenient section of Ft. Greene in Brooklyn; we were literally within 5-10 minutes walk of so many things. On Saturday morning we woke up to a great farmer's market literally across the street, we could walk to the Brooklyn Flea within a few blocks, public transportation to Manhattan and other parts of Brooklyn was easy, and there were so many more shops, restaurants, etc. then we could ever take advantage of right in the neighborhood. As for the place, it looks exactly like in the pictures, nice large living room/dining room/kitchen, bathroom and bedroom in a gorgeous Brooklyn Brownstone with wonderful details. Everything was extremely clean and comfortale. We wish we could have gotten to know Zachariah, but unfortunately our schedules did not allow it. But he was very accommodating, allowing us to pick up the keys from a local restaurant when our flight arrived at 1am and giving us a 'point person' who checked in with us by text to make sure everything was alright and answered any questions we had. Thanks for the great hosting job!
After years of reading about Brooklyn's modernized brownstones, upscale eateries, fine museums and family-friendly neighborhoods, I'm happy to report that all the stories are true. My stay in "Parlor Floor" overlooking Ft. Greene park was the perfect location. Zachariah and Jess left an excellent guide to fine dining spots--follow their recommendations! (And Samantha was the perfect door-keeper!)
We had a great stay at Zachariah's Brownstone apartment. The pictures are very accurate, the place is as stylish and elegant as depicted. The location is great with the front windows looking across the street at the park and the bedroom facing a leafy courtyard. Everything is spotless and well organized. The bed is comfortable and the kitchen and bath are modern and clean. Overall a wonderful place to stay.
