Anne gostamos muito de seu apartamento. A localização e maravilhosa e voltaríamos novamente . O apartamento estava limpo e em ordem. Apesar de pequeno conseguimos ter conforto mesmo em 4 pessoas. A cama e o sofá cama muito confortáveis. O banheiro excelente.
The apartment was nice, cozy and clean, location is perfect: close to everything you would want to see and experience in Paris. Anne is attentive, prompt and caring. Overall - highly and wholeheartedly recommended!
Anne è stata molto gentile e ha risposto a tutte le nostre domande sia prima che durante il nostro soggiorno.
La descrizione dell'annuncio era aderente alla realtà. L'host è stata sempre disponibile per tutte le informazioni che ci occorrevano.
Posizione ottima in pieno centro.
The apartment was wonderful--perfect size, not too small, not too big--for our needs, and nicely furnished. the host was extraordinary: prompt in her responses to all my queries and requests, caring, and generous. both anne and her brother went out of their way to accommodate us. we loved staying there, the only problem was the noise from the restaurants at night. but we closed the windows and put the fans on--that helped.
My husband and I went with our baby and stayed for two months, it was a time of our life I will treasure always and Anne's little apartment was a big part of our trip being wonderful.
Anne was an exceptional host. I was nervous about being in a new area, not knowing the language and not knowing anything anything about the area. Anne was like a hotel concierge, answering any question, reserving taxis, and recommending hotels for visiting guests. She was very helpful.
The nespresso machine was very helpful. You can purchase replacement pods for 2.5 euro for 10 at the Monoprix across the street. We were there in March and April and the weather was wonderful. We didn't need any heat, it did get a little warm towards the end of our stay, but she has three fans for the apartment so it kept the area cool.
Tthere is a nice big bath tub for taking baths, especially in the beginning when my legs adjusted to walking 5 miles a day, a bath at the end was very nice.
And the location was just perfect, 15 minute walk anywhere, and even closer by metro.
And there is a local market every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday (all organic on Sunday) which we loved. Right on the corner of rue de Rennes and rue de Raspail.
Should we return to Paris, we will of course book this apartment.
My sister, daughter, niece and I just spent a week on Rue de Canettes. It was the perfect location; Centrally located with easy access to to two metro stations. Lots of small restaurants where we usually ate after a long day of walking the Parisian streets. Our feet could not take us much farther at night. Several bars directly below us we open and loud but if we kept the window closed we could sleep through the night. There are three rotating floor fans to keep the circulating with the windows closed. We had cooler weather so heat was not a problem even without air conditioning. The apartment is small for four women and their "stuff" but we managed. The closet in the bedroom has lots of drawers which helped keep us organized. Storage of four suitcases was but we stacked them on top of the desk. The kitchen is small and when more than two of us were there getting to the bathroom was a challenge. It is equipped with everything. We used the washer/dryer successfully. We need these in the US. We cooked in two nights and found everything we needed. I would recommend a fourth red kitchen chair but we made do with the swivel desk chair. We fell in love with the Nespresso machine. We used so many of the little pods we had to replenish Anne's supply. Luckily there is a store in the neighborhood. Sadly we only discovered that the used pods are recyclable at the end of the trip. One disappointment was that nothing was recycled in the apartment. The bathroom was small but had all the essentials and lots of hot water. The bed was firm and the sofabed also comfortable. Navigating the stairs is a challenge especially if the light goes out. We contacted Anne several times; how to work the DVD player, light bulbs, booking a taxi. She was responsive and helpful. If I get back to Paris again, I would stay at 2P Charme, Rue de Canettes - Charming and efficient.
Overall, we recommend this property for a stay in Paris. The best thing about it is the location; the worst thing about it is the location. Best, because it's in lively and historical St. Germain des Pres, with museums, shopping, and many great restaurants; and it's only a short walk to two metro stations, which made getting around Paris very easy. Worst, because there are so many surrounding bars and restaurants that it was very noisy until 3 AM, with noisy street cleaning crews starting at 6 AM.
The apartment is very clean, comfortable, and well equipped, including a washer/dryer, modern bath and kitchen, comfortable bed, and nice furnishings. The building is old, so the spiral staircase you climb up to the apartment is a little narrow and difficult to maneuver with bags. Even during a summer heatwave, the excellent fans kept us cool at night and reasonably cool during the daytime, when we were seldom there, anyway. (It is not air conditioned.)
We appreciated the good communication with Anne throughout the process, from our initial reservation right up through her having someone meet us at the apartment to give us the keys and show us how to use the equipment at the beginning of our stay.
We loved having a home-away-from-home during our stay in Paris. We recommend it if you can handle the late-night noise (ear plugs??)--or better yet, if you're the right age to join the merry-makers.
Anne is truly a wonderful host. She has been living in the area for the past 10 years and certainly knows all the good restaurants and shops. The flat is nicely decorated, modern and comfortable. It is ideally situated in the heart of Saint-Germain, and the surrounding shopping area. It is also the historical intellectual quarter with its old cafés and bars. Stay in Anne's flat, and I guarantee you will want to come back !
