We are college teachers in USA who travel in Europe often. We are nearing retirement age and hoping to spend half of our retirement days in Italy. We have owned our home in Minnesota for more than 30 years and love to entertain. We like photography, history, art, reading, good food and good wine and exploring new places. Our 25 year old daughter who lives and works in Boston joins us for a week here and there as we travel. She says she wants our life :)
What are 5 things I/we cannot live without? Our family, books, friends, our relationship with God and I think we'll hold off on number 5 as it will be ever changing.
We are very much "people persons". As we are aging, we find that the best collection we have is people....friends and acquaintances are the riches of our lives. For real.
Because we entertain often and share our home, we understand well how important being a respectful, generous guest is. We always leave a place in the same condition we found it....or better. We take our shoes off at the door. We clean up after ourselves.
Our life motto is "Love God. Love people. Period."
