When we arrived we were happy that we were picked up from the station (Rapolane Terme). We arrived in a beautiful valley and the apartment is very spacious, immaculate and very tastefully decorated. We got addicted to the beautiful scenery, the delicious vegetables from the garden and the cake baked specially for us.
It’s possible to have a nice walk to the station with the itinerary of Teodora (about 50 minutes if you walk slowly). You can also go on the bike to Asciano. We visited there a museum, without other visitors, so very quiet compared to Florence. With a wonderful painting of Michael. We have extended our stay one day and visited the Archabbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore and Chiusuro, a village on the top of a hill with a church where we found a beautiful altar painting (again Archangelo Michaele).
The hot water baths of Therme San Giovanni are special and historic.
We got at this BNB everything we needed and went home gratefully. And would have liked to stay much longer. To catch our aeroplane from Pisa Airport at 12.30 we departed from the train station at 7.50 am. Our day rhythm was slightly different than usual because of the siesta, because everything is closed.

This place was truly rustic. The apartment itself is charming, and the hosts are helpful and provide staples for breakfast. The house appeared to have been empty for a while before we stayed there, and as a result, it was really cold, as the masonry hadn't been heated. There was only a wood stove (which burns out unless you feed it throughout the night) and a radiator system that was difficult to control. By the second night, after the apartment had warmed up, it was lovely. Be forewarned that the wifi did not work, and because of the remote location, it was impossible to get a cell signal to use cellular data either. So it meant for fairly peaceful nights with no outside communication.
Francesca and Teo were wonderful hosts. The apartment was perfectly clean and nicely furnished. Milk, juice, cookies, coffee and all kinds of other amenities were very generously supplied.
If you are interested in staying in a rural, rustic environment in a real farmhouse on a working farm at a very reasonable price, this place is perfect.
Ambiente rilassante, accogliente, così come l'ospitalità che mi è stata riservata. Ottimo soggiorno per chi vuole godersi le terme di Rapolano
Amazing 13th century farm house close to Siena. We really enjoyed our stay and Francesca & her mom were very friendly.
Make sure to check with them before you start your trip to their place because there can be some difficulty on Airbnb/(website hidden) maps so confirm the correct location before starting your drive. It's not Francesca's fault - just a tech glitch w/ Airbnb.
The farm is wonderful and was a great break from the noise and activity of Rome.
Esperienza positiva. Ambiente naturale e incontaminato. Cortesia, disponibilita' e simpatia. Appartamento pulito e arredato con gusto.
What a peaceful, beautiful place this is just past the old chiesa and over the little red bridge...it was the very best part of our holiday. We loved our stay here...so glad to have discovered the Capannacce Horse farm. It is a very authentic experience of Tuscan life and inspiring to see people so passionate and dedicated about what they do. Francesca and her daughter Teodora work very hard with their horses and the many things to do on the farm. They were very welcoming and I enjoyed talking with them.
My son, Benjamin was really happy to have a go at feeding the horses carrying the bucket across the field, doing some weeding, and chopping some wood. He was really pleased to join in with the activities. He has gone back to school today and can't wait to tell all his classmates in "show and tell" about his experience on the horse farm....the horses, the dog who watched over the mother hen and her chicks,, the three little ducks, the bees in the window, the chickens with their own room. We also found clay in the nearby steam and made some horse heads.
Our hosts made time for us and we felt welcome. Francesca made us a lovely pie. We had a nice meal too. The accommodation itself was spacious and airy with all the amenities we needed. There are pretty villages nearby and we also spent a few hours at the Quercia?? (lots of vowels) Terme with the variety of hot thermal pools to leave you feeling cleansed and relaxed. Teodora has discounted passes to this spa. Lovely flowers, classic Tuscan Cypress trees, crumbly buildings, antique furniture, a frog pond, a hammock....just so pretty. We will return again and stay a bit longer next time. All the best, Joanne and Ben
Esperamos volver pronto.

Our stay on the farm was wonderful. The place, the indoors and outside both, are so pretty. You can head out into pasture with the horses and foal will come right up for some love. There a frogs in the little pond up front, veggies and herbs to pick in the garden, flowers to admire and more. Get out here and get away from it all. We would definitely stay again.
This is a lovely place to stay and a great home base for many day-trip destinations in Tuscany! The cottage is spacious and clean--as well as comfortable. I stayed for about two weeks and it quickly felt like home. Francesca and Teodora and generous hosts!
Teodora spent 2 nights with her boyfriend. There were easy going, clean and very friendly guests. I can just recommend them to you.
