I love good food and good company. Nothing compares to living in NYC!

The location cannot be beat and the apartment was a good size for NYC and for the money. The apartment is either arranged differently now than the photos or the photos are of a different, though very similar, unit. One thing I wish I would have known is this apartment is on the lower level, and the living room has a sliding door to the back yard. There were multiple locks on the door and I did feel safe, but I would have liked to have known that. The bedroom portion of the apartment is under the living room. The bed is very comfortable and, maybe because it is under the living room and there is no one below you, it is extremely quiet. Additionally, although there is a kitchen and we did do some cooking, certain items (mugs, spoons) were not available, so if you are planning to cook, it might not be the most ideal spot. However, there are a lot of great restaurants in the area. And, it is a few blocks from the Union Square Metro, where several lines connect to give you great access to the city.

Host wasn't able to meet me at his building since I arrived a few hours later than expected, but he provided a couple of options for getting into the building. I was able to access the unit very easily and really appreciated that.
The place was very clean, AC blaring (which was huge because it was ridiculously hot in NYC), and cable/internet worked.
The neighborhood was great. You're in the East Village area of NYC. How can it not be?
Tj was helpful and responded to emails.
The basement apartment was a bit disappointing. The bed was not in the room as in the photograph, but was down in an underground room with no natural light.
Kitchen was not well equipped. No system for coffee or tea, no mugs.
Our stay in TJ's apartment was great. The place was clean, AC was cool, and the bed was comfy. The location was simply ideal! Will hopefully stay there again next time we visit the city.
Such a great experience! The place was (website hidden) was extremely helpful, and the location was amazing. We were so close to Union Square and so many bars and restaurants, including my favorite Indian restaurant (Panna II). The apartment itself was perfect. It's a lot more space than I expected. The bed was ridiculously comfortable, and the whole place and building were really clean. I'd love to stay in TJ's place again. Great host!
TJ was very good at communicating. We worked out a way for me to get into his apartment when he wasn't there and it went off with out a hitch. It is a fun neighborhood. I loved Union Square, Washington Square, and the Strand. The apartment is small, not much of a kitchen, but a great place to sleep and use as home base.
TJ's place was great. I lived in NYC for 9 or so years and this location is perfect. It was my wife's first trip to the city and she had a small taste of what is was like to live in NYC. Something she wouldn't have had the opportunity to do if we stayed in a traditional (website hidden) was a nice host and his apartment was fantastically furnished. We will be back again. Thanks TJ!
TJ was absolutely great. His communication was what stood out the most and the cleanliness that the unit was (website hidden) is welcome to stay any time.
