Jossif and his family have been very helpful throughout my stay in Sofia! They have provided help with places to go out and practical needs whenever I needed them and been really nice around the house too. The room is bright, comfortable, clean and artistic;it has a nice vibe! The apartment is in the centre of Sofia, in the area with the most bars, restaurants, cafes etc...It's really close to the city's big park and is convenient for public transport (although you can usually walk everywhere!)
Sanny (Jossif's mom) and her partner were very friendly and made me feel comfortable throughout my stay. Sanny was so kind to help me find a place for my car and suggested some interesting sites around town. The room is spacious, warm and comfortable, the bed sleeps very well and above all it's quiet. I had a much needed and proper rest! The apartment is equipped with all amenities and located close to all interesting sites in the city. I can recommend staying there!
A very nice place to stay in the heart of Sofia. Room was big and bright. Recommended.
The hosts were very welcoming and made me feel very much at home. They helped me to find my way around Sofia and went above and beyond by taking me to an art exhibition . They were very informative and I learned much about Bulgarian history and culture. The accommodation was very comfortable and close to all the major sights. I would not hesitate to stay here again and I would highly recommend it.
The place is amazing, Zashev family is great, they were really kind to me and helped me to get to know about the area, internet is great, the bed was so comfortable that one day I overslept to 1pm. I had to meet a group of entrepreneurs at 9am to go to Bansko and literally didn't sleep because of fear that I wouldn't wake up on time.
The apartment is really close to anything you need, so you can go by foot to know the city and everybody knows the boulevard so you won't have any problems asking for directions to come back.
I can't recommend this place enough, I loved the room and loved Sofia, I hope I can come back again to Sofia this year with more time to get to know more about the city :)
A great place to stay in the heart of Sofia very close to everything of interest to any visitor. Room was big, bright and very inviting. Highly recommended.
Zashev was very active in responding to my many questions. Although I was not going to meet him in person he arranged everything with his lovely mother and her boyfriend. The apartment room was just as described, warm with a comfortable bed and a terrace. It was a great value and I highly recommend. Unfortunately I don't speak Bulgarian or French so conversation was limited but his mother was gracious and even let me have eggs for breakfast!
I had very good experiences with this apartment, Zashev always repylied very quickly to all of my requests and was very helpful (also in suggesting restaurants and bars where to go). The apartment is absolutely clean, it is a bit trashy (like all bulgarian apartments I guess) but nice furnished, you even have a balcony in your room to the silent courtyard and a computer for connecting to the internet. Everything is working very well (warm water, heating). It is very close to the center in a nice street. The two people (mother of Zashev and her friend) living there are very friendly and nice. I can totally recommend it.
It was so nice and hospitality. I really recommend to stay there. Thank you for the good time!
In the summer of 2013, Jossif Zashev and I lived together for three months in Ronda, Spain. In that time we grew very close and became the best of friends. Jossif is a fantastic chap, very laid back and the perfect housemate. He cooks weird things at times, but generally is very domestic. I would encourage anyone to spend some time with him, listening to his classical guitar playing and also the wise expressions of his native homeland.
