The cottage was very clean and Rebecca was very obliging and helpful during our stay. The option of the domestic lady doing our washing was very unexpected and most welcome. My only observations were bedside lamps would make it more comfortable, and possibly to keep a stock of firewood next to the hearth.
The area is very quiet, and it is a great spot to take a break.
Only needed place to sleep for 2 nights, great location, Rebecca is great host. Very spacious place.
Thank you Rebecca and family for being such great hosts. We had a great time staying in your cottage.
The cottage is safe and comfortable and clean. It had everything we needed and is a close drive to all great sight seeing locations. We really enjoyed our stay and love the neighborhood. We would stay again anytime.
Love the Tuckers x
Great basic place to stay while visiting Cape Town. We enjoyed being outside of town and not part of the tourist hub-bub. The cottage itself is quite spacious and Rebecca was a welcoming but unobtrusive host. The only real downside was lack of internet - the dongle did not work well with our MacBook Air so we had to drive around or sit in the front yard parking area to check email or book anything like a show or wine tour appointment online (which is commonly required in this area).
Really pleased to stay again in this beautiful cottage in a lovely location . Fully intend to stay there again next year!
Rebecca's place was just what we needed. It was about a $25 cab ride to downtown, but walking distance to some of the local vineyards and a good jump off point to get to Cape of Good Hope. Rebecca was incredibly helpful and was helped us get a cab driver when we needed.
We had a great time at Rebeccas place. She was a very attentive and friendly host. I'd recommend the place any time!!
We had a lovely four night stay here. Rebecca and family were friendly and helpful.
The house is a good size for accommodating four people, close to motorways and restaurants etc.
Great value for money.
This was my first booking with AirBNB, and I'm so glad I did. What a great little cottage for a family escape! Rebecca and Jerry were fantastic hosts. The quiet suburb location was ideal for our adventures both south to the Cape Point and Simons Town Penguins, and North to the City and Table Mountain. We felt safe and at home in our own private mini house. The kitchen and nearby market made self catering a breeze. The gated parking and outdoor patio let us enjoy the fresh air and relax in safety. The kids enjoyed the cable TV and snacking on the Grapevines hanging above the patio. Beautiful place, minutes from the vinyards.
The internet connection could have been a more consistent, and the security gate a little less finicky with the remote, but these are small details for an otherwise fantastic place to stay. Highly recommended.
We stayed in rebecca's cottage with three people for three days. The cottage was immaculate and clean. Rebecca greeted us upon arrival and made us feel right at home. The cottage is ideally situated in a quiet suburb, we felt like we were staying outside the city because it was so queit and peaceful. The location was great for day trips to Kalk Bay, the Waterfront and Cape Town CBD. A big shopping centre with grocery stores is just five minutes away. The cottage had everything we needed to prepare light meals and enjoy a barbeque every evening. The only thing we can complain about is that the wifi sometimes failed but this is really minor an will not affect our decision to stay there again. A great stay in a lovely cottage!
