very nice place. nice view and nice air:)
Because of weatherproblems in our booked period, we had contact for several times with Tonjee. She is very willing in thinking with us to come a few days later, when the problems of the rain were solved. We arrived 2 days later and enjoyed our stay. The house is very relaxing, although there were several insects and other animals living in and aroundn the house too. I never saw a butterfly that big, or a spider that big. The house lays on top of a mountain and when you awake in the morning it is such a beautiful view. Same for the swimmingpool, it is really amazing when you swim, what view you have. Must be even more beautiful when you are here after the rainy season.
The farm house is magical. The infinity pool adjacent to the house is out of this world with the magnificent view of Bataan mountain ranges. You have to pay P200 per person though if you want to use this pool, but to us it was all worth it given the fact that the view just takes your breath away. And for those considering to rent this place out, make sure you have everything that you need unless you're cool to drive approximately 20 minutes to get down to the closest market place from the farm house. Tonjee (the owner) answers promptly with any questions and concerns you might have and makes sure you are properly assisted by the caretaker of the farm house. We won't think twice to stay here again and maybe will recommend this place to friends and families if we would be given an extra can of corned beef for breakfast next time we stay...jk...hahaha
This house located at the Sinagtala Farm and Resort in Bataan was a very nice retreat for me and my friends. There is plenty of space for everyone and I thought the outdoor kitchen and dining area were really great for enjoying the surrounding natural beauty. I especially enjoyed staying in the 3rd floor bedroom with the attached terrace. It has an amazing view that's especially nice to wake up to in the morning.
It's also a great value given that it comes with a full-time caretaker that is there to help with anything you need and even takes care of the house during your stay including cleaning the floors and doing dishes.
Tonjee is a very generous and responsive host. She made herself available for questions and was flexible in allowing us to check-in early due to our early arrival from Manila.
Before my group of 10 stayed at this house in Bgy. Tala, Orani, Bataan, I had a chance to conduct an ocular inspection of the site. I was initially impressed by the altitude of the area, which gave it stunning views of the land below (on one side) and the mountains of Bataan lit up by the setting sun on the other.
The house itself looked great in photos and up close I could see its charm, but it did seem smaller in person. The house was unoccupied when we visited so I got to tour the house first with gracious permission from the host. My apprehension then was that the house didn't seem thoroughly clean (moldy bathrooms) but the caretakers assured me this is bec the house is unoccupied but that once it's booked, it will be cleaned. The kitchen and common areas were both open areas but that seemed okay since the open air was fresh and it didn't hamper the views. There was no airconditioning, which i asked about, to which the caretaker replied that it wasn't necessary since it got quite cold on the mountains. I took their word for it despite my concerns, and booked the place for my staff's one night outing.
Fast forward to April 14. When we got to the place , we were greeted by flies. There were flies everywhere. There were so many flies (which even got into the downstairs bedroom) that the fly killer (the blue lit thing that zaps flies) was full to the brim. The floor of the outdoor area was dirty and wet; there were chickens everywhere running in and out of the open area and even pooping on the floor of the common area/kitchen. The flies were especially bothersome because the kitchen was outdoors and eating was a pain with all the flies buzzing around.
Then, midway through the afternoon, we lost our running water, which the caretakers said was bec they were cleaning the tanks (they couldn't have scheduled this when there were no guests?!). Then when that got fixed, the water that ran in our faucets only had one temperature: hot. That eventully got fixed too but not without a lot of discomfort on our part.
In April, it wasn't as cold as it should be to be comfortable, and without airconditioning, most of my guests (especiallu those sleeping on the second floor) found it difficult to sleep bec of the heat. There were fans, but it was little comfort.
The flies eventually went away in the evening, but they were replaced by mosquitoes. By the next mkrning the flies were back.
The place had a lot of potential to be great but the little things guests need to be in place were sorely lacking. We went there to have a relaxing time but ended up uncomfortable and having to fight for comforts that ought to have already been there. Maybe management can look into this.
The stay was excellent... had a few inquiries and the Host replies immediately. The place was very accommodating specially for large parties. Would love to come again!
My friends and I had a pleasant stay at Tonjee's Sinagtala Farm house. The second floor had a nice view of the mountains which was very refreshing. The place is also a good base for visiting other Bataan sites such as Mt Samat Shrine and Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar. Except for the initial issues on the door locks, overall it was a nice experience. Hope to stay there again with my family next time
