The flat is small and a bit cluttered but otherwise very nice and in any event just as advertised in terms of location and amenities.
Communication with Stephanie was great prior to our arrival but unfortunately she was travelling when we arrived and her designated host / cleaning team had not cleaned the place which was a real issue for us as we were travelling with a toddler. We therefore ended up cancelling our stay and finding other accomodations. Stephanie was extremely apologetic about the situation however and promptly reimbursed us for the nights we didn't stay.
Wonderful place to stay in DC!
The library studio (you can't believe how many books!) was exactly as described. Clean, secure, cool, well-located, I felt like I was living in DC! I was initially hesitant to stay "so far" out of downtown, but Columbia Heights is great: cool bars and restaurants within walking distance of the studio, free parking (Yes, FREE!) super close, and the metro station on 14th (which gets you anywhere) is only three blocks away.
Do yourself a favor: don't look any further for a place to stay in DC!
Stephanie was a great host, and her place is fantastic! I cannot rave enough about the location--very close to the metro, fun area, plenty to do. Thanks, Stephanie for a great stay!
My husband stayed there for one night. He did like the place very much, and he will stay there again, when he come back to the area. It is very true : "Great little studio apartment in a great location.", svetlana
This is a cozy spot walking distance to great bars and restaurants of Columbia Heights. The building isn't great as others have pointed out, but you will quickly forget that once you enter the adorably decorated apartment and choose a book to snuggle up with. Clean and comfortable and communicative owner made for a relaxing weekend.
Stephanie's library studio made a cozy home for my three days in DC. While the building's public areas - lobby and stairwell - are not that welcoming, the studio itself has lots of sunshine and leafy views. The bus to Dupont Circle stops on the corner, which made it really convenient for my commute. Groceries are nearby, too.
The Library Studio is a great place, very confortable: a cozy atmosphere, a very good light, every confort and a lot of books.
Columbia Heigth is a lovely neighborhood also: walking is pleasant and near to the appartment you can find a lot of nice place where drink a beer, take a coffe, take a break, have a tasty dinner or hear good music.
The subway station is really near and so it's easy go in downtown, reach the airports, Maryland College and National Archives.
Stephanie is very gentle and helpfull if you need something.
I booked the Library Studio for my mom to stay while she was in town for a weekend visit. While we didn't meet Stephanie in person, she was very prompt in setting up the reservation, and her friend who checked us in was friendly and helpful. The building itself is kind of no-frills, but the studio is super cozy, artsy, secure, and clean. My mom enjoyed her brief stay. I live in the neighborhood myself, so I can attest that it is a great part of DC, with lots of great restaurants/bars and convenient metro and bus access.
A great place! Very cute and was plenty of space for the two of us. Just a couple of blocks to the metro, as well as a lot of great bars and restaurants. Stephanie even has the cutest little guide zine to the area! She was great at communicating and we had no problems whatsoever.
Great little studio apartment in a great location.
Stephanie is a wonderful host, she leaves a great little booklet with all the information you need about the neighbourhood and the apartment. She is great with communiaction and flexibility for her guests.
It was a perfect stay for us for the long weekend.
Lots of character, cool neighbourhood with buses, metro stop and cool restaurants/cafes nearby.
Stephanie is an energetic, spontaneous and enthusiastic person whom we loved to have stay in our guesthouse.
While being here she was involved and very busy in an art project and we could feel the "artsy" vibes. She kept us updated about arrival times and other programs and left the guesthouse in good order.
It was fun and always welcome back again.

It was a wonderful experience to have Stephanie and Jeremiah as guests in our apartment, even though the stay was short. We would be happy to welcome them again another time. Thank you.
I was so Happy to receive Stephanie and her friend,
They are awesome and so nice ! The flat was perfect after their trip, I hope I will receive them again !! :)
Stephanie and Jeremiah were excellent guests, although their stay was pretty short! They kept in touch regarding their arrival time and were true adventurers, braving the tipi through a windy and rainy night! They were very clean and respectful. Couldn't ask for more!
Stephanie is a very cool lady. Ultra smart and kind. Would recommend to other hosts without hesitation.
