This is a great apartment in a very nice neighborhood. It looks just like the photos. Very comfortable. You enter the apartment through the bedroom. As a bonus, you can enjoy a view of the lake and mountains while relaxing in the hot tub! As described, there is no kitchen so you have to wash dishes in the bathroom sink. It's also a little chilly since it's a basement, but there is a space heater. The hot tub is out in the open so neighbors can see you - we didn't see anyone. It's a quiet area, a little out of the way but there is a bus stop a couple of blocks away, and a cab from downtown was $15.
Charter's basement apartment was absolutely perfect! Amazing views and a quick and easy ride to the city. Beautiful neighborhood complete with stunning architecture, perfect for a morning jog or evening walk. The space was perfect for 4 people despite the open floor plan. The Hot tub was an added treat. Looking forward to staying here again on our next trip to Seattle.
The house was very spacious and accommodated all of us comfortably! The perfect location and I definitely be back!
Charter Harrison's beautiful room with a view was wonderful. Another reviewer complained about the steep hills to drive over to the house, but it is not a big deal at all, and hard to escape in Seattle.
The hot tub was divine under cloudy stars. The TV and couch were so cozy, I fell asleep there a few times. We were able to have immediate hot showers, do our laundry and even enjoy a beer when we came into town. That was a great touch!
Charter was also prompt with any questions we had. We just pinged him on Air BnB, and he got back to us in under 10 minutes.
This was a great first experience with Air BnB! Thank you!

The house was beautiful, in a great part of town, with wonderful views, but there were some issues that had I spent more time looking at reviews I would have realized. We did not catch that there is no kitchen which was a big problem for us as one of the reasons that we use airbnb vs hotel is that my husband is gluten intolerant and we have the option of cooking. A microwave and tiny fridge without a sink or stove was not sufficient for us. Again my own fault as he didn't say it had a kitchen and I made a bad assumption.
Other issues were a noisy heating system that was difficult to regulate, a strange layout where the only entry/exit was through the bedroom so that if the person in bedroom was sleeping you couldn't get into or out of the apartment.
The place was listed as a 2 bedroom, which is a stretch - really only a 1 bedroom and a living room couch. Again I didn't read carefully enough.
Laundry was left in the washer and dryer so we could not use it. ''
While it wasn't a major problem I would reinforce to other renters that the streets are very steep and access to public transportation not very convenient.
Charter was good to deal with, but I suspect we won't be staying again.
Charter couldn't of been a better host. Beautiful listing and always available if needed. Definitely would recommend to other travelers.
Charter's studio apartment is very accommodating. He lives in a great neighborhood.
House is within 10 minutes to downtown Seattle. Very convenient. Park is within 2 blocks from house, for morning exercise. Beautiful view of Lake Washington, Mt. Rainer, and downtown Bellevue. House worked great for three people to share!
A beautiful view, although a little difficult to get to (and relatively out of the way in Seattle), I really enjoyed my stay. I had no problems, and everything was as advertised. Spacious and comfortable, the space we rented out was exactly as it was described and looked in the pictures.
Obviously a kitchenette would have been nice, but Charter did not advertise it and I didn't pay for one, so that's not a huge concern.
It gets a little cold at night, and you gave to rely on a space heater (provided) to keep warm. The water was always as warm as I wanted it to be, and there was a good collection of dishes, blankets, etc. whenever I would need to use them.
I would recommend renting a car if you stay here, because the bus lines are both far away and difficult to get to (my legs are stills sore from all the uphill—on an extremely high gradient—walking), as well as a little late. That's OK; without the very steep hills, the view wouldn't have been so nice.
Charter was a great guest. He hosted a party on the boat and all were very respectful of the premise. I would recommend him to anyone.
