I like a documentary film.
I produce videos for non-profits and would one day like to learn the butterfly stroke.
When I was 6 I was bitten by a raccoon on the finger.
The best part of this stay was Benjamin himself. Very open and a welcoming host. A good introduction to the Airbnb experience.
Ben was awesome! Super nice guy and the apartment is in a great location to explore both Oakland and San Francisco.
Great communication. Benjamin was very quick to respond whether by email, phone and text! Very sweet and easy to talk to. Good place to crash overnight while passing through town! I was lucky to find a front spot to park in across the street on a Saturday night but pretty view of the lake!!
This place was in a great location, close to the Amtrak station and BART, and right across the street from Lake Merritt, where I went for a run in the morning. Benjamin was a helpful host, and all ran smoothly!
Benjamin was great. He was not only my first airbnb host, but also my first room share. Not only was he kind, hospitable, and funny, but he has a keen understanding of communication and social space- which makes you very comfortable when staying with a new person.
I will look him up again when I am traveling solo to Oakland.
Benjamin and Matt were funny and friendly. The space was clean, spacious, and very close to BART. Highly recommended.
Ben was a great host and is easy to get along with. His place is great for someone who needs a bed to crash on and doesn't mind sharing a room.
Benjamin is a great host, friendly and helpful. His home is set in a beautiful area of Oakland and provides the perfect base from which to explore San Francisco, just a BART ride across the bay. Sharing a room was no issue and I was able to come and go as I pleased. Very much a home from home, thank you Benjamin.
Benjamin was quick to reply as I was looking for a place immediately after other housing plans fell through. His place was quite large, just as in the photos and the cat was a bit pushy, but not overbearing. I didn't get to spend much time with Benjamin, but he was a considerate host by making the bed, providing a towel, having a chat about the area and letting me make myself at home.
I would recommend Benjamin as a good host and his house as a prime location if you enjoy the lake view and need public transportation. As for parking, stay on the left side of the street, the right side is confusing with "no parking" restrictions.
It's a lovely apartment and the perfect hideout - just like described. Smoke the cat has a lot of character and is a great presence. Benjamin is very helpful and understanding, was great to meet him even though for such a short time.
